Default Ebay sales down...

my ebay sales are down dramatically

collectors items... which normally run into £10-£20 an item are ending at listed .99p

yeah sure you take your chances listing at .99p but i start all my listings at that... some have even ended unsold at .99p i never have unsold items ?

all the while... my social media sales are up! gumtree sales up!!

since when did ebay go and die

anyone else notice that folks are selling stuff like its going out of fashion... and most of the time instantly once listed on facebook and so on...

wow this has to be the 1st time in a very long time that my ebay sales are down by this much

facebook... taking over

Put your collectors items at "fixed price" on Ebay and give the custemer the opportunity to send their "best offer".

Most collectors don't even notice they can send you a best offer or do not want to risk the "collector" item to be won by someonelse... so they byu it full price.

This happened to me more than once

I always sell collectors items BIN or best offer, even if it takes a few months to sell, it attracts premium price.

Check your items have not dropped off on best match searches, this may be a reason why?

Maybe lost popularity or other sellers are higher up on the list

thanks for the response guys, interesting

i think im more leaning more toward the trend aspect regarding my point... i can remember a time when you could sell a empty bag of crisps (chips) on ebay... now its facebook
and what i like about it, 0 fees, 9 times out of 10 a instant sale... collected with cash in hand

for now ill roll with the punches

This has nothing to do with trend, summer slump or bad economy. 2 main thing s...

1. eBay got hacked

2. Google demoted eBay's search results

Come on RSOT you can't possibly be this uninformed. Stop pretending like you don't know what is going on with eBay.
