Ip relay service for hearing impaired Using this to call ebay to verify information
 

Hey I know everyone has had to call ebay after making a new account to "verify" who you are. And most of the time you get your account reinstated and sometimes your listings too.
My question is has anyone tried the hearing impaired option?
Ip relay service basically where you can type your responses online through your computer?
Has it worked?
Also have you found an ip relay service thats free that you do not have to verify your identity to use. Like ss # or wait to have them verify your identity.
Basically I would like to try this method but I am having trouble finding an ip relay service that does not require identity verification

If eBay cannot verify your identity, that means, you have revealed to a human somewhere that there are stealth accounts.

Remember, there will be somebody relaying your response to eBay.

hmmm i did a little more research and I think its controlled by the government those types of calls and if you are not really hearing impaired you could get in trouble. Im not sure but I guess thats off the table lol dont wanna get in trouble with gov.
And thats not true by the way. ALOT of experienced people here have had to call ebay when making stealth accounts its just the way it is

Might not work.

It is a rort of such systems to use if not entitled to do so.

Done to prevent fraud and scamming.

@livelifewild, havent tried this option but eB/PP I am sure have tightened up security BUT...here's a good chance for you to experiment and report back ....

You can just get one of those apps on your phone. Voice changer and pretend your using it. Although whats the real benefit?
