Can't sell on new account?
 

I have noticed this topic has been going around alot but I still have no answers. I have never had any issues creating new accounts and selling until now. I have a limit right away and can not sell any items. Can someone with an answer explain to me a work around or fix?

Completely new IP, number, vcc, all cache and Java cache cleared. New email. Everything new like I normally do when I create my aco****s. Seen I wasn't the only one having this 0 item selling limit

Other posts discussing this 0/0 problem. Are you using new user account? What's the source of your phone number?

Yes another obstacle that eBay is throwing at us

I haven't need to call eBay for so long , it was a shock, all my accounts are solid this is definitely something else

I been on an account making binge all week , Sat-Monday all 0/0, on 30 accounts, the call in was weird, the reps all very nice and basically just procedure

Tuesday I made my first account at 1am and my last 8pm all received limits 10/1000 not one 0/0

Didn't make on Wednesday, Thursday my first was 10/000 and than back to all 0/0

Haven't made any today, will start up again tomorrow

Oh and another thing , something I haven't received for a year , is now being given to every account , the Original MC999

Every account with limits after listing my first item all received the easy MC999 , and like I said haven't received one of these in a year, very strange week, eBay is doing all kinds of craziness

Yea i noticed that also . every acc is received the mc999 without listing an item.

ebay cracking down soon it will probably be too hard to make these en masse.

I dont believe this will last. If they make it this difficult to sell on EB, then other ppl will not use it. Ppl want easy, not difficult.

BUT, most people don't mind giving away every last piece of info in their portfolio just to sell some of grandma's trinkets.

It's just how you create your account. Right now eBay is testing the waters, it's the slow period of the year. You don't do this sort of testing in the busy season.

From research, it's coming down to certain 3rd party service providers utilized, phone services specifically. Some are better than others.. :p

And of course there are other factors at play.

Maybe they are re-doing this one?

The latests ones are tough on their staff, after all, having to talk to sellers.

I just made a new account and this one has the 1,000 dollar limit as usual. Seems like new accounts are randomly selected or something.

Edit. I take that back. Got the mc999 right away

Is google voice and other 3rd party phone apps the reason for the new accounts being flagged ? Will tracfones work?

So far it seems to be a big factor. Tracfones have been working so far.

Hasnt been 100% proven but few cases on the other thread point to this being a potential cause and Tracfones still working...
