how to get a verified number
 

My account is limited. PayPal wants to confirm I am the owner of the account. They want to confirm my ownership by sending a text message. My problem is the number I listed is no longer active. So I bought the $5 TracFone and linked it and confirmed to the account. I then tried to have PP send the text message to confirm ownership, but I receive error message, " We can not very your phone number. Please re-check the number or you can add a another number. How/Where can I get a "verified" number that will accept short code text messages from PP?

you cant receive premium text messages on tracfone. set the phone number as a home phone and try it again. if not you have to buy another prepaid phone with either Verizon or tmobile.

if you click the "confirm" button for the text (leaving the field blank), it will prompt to call you instead. you can receive calls on GV in your Gmail. Its an automated call where you enter the code

what is GV in gmail?

and which of the number? is it phone number or home number?

How do you get that to work? Ive always tried but failed…
