Need To Lookup My Own Public Record Info. Reliable Website?
 

Recently Ive tried to open a couple bank accounts as well as re-activate a couple old paypal accounts and my public record info is all messed up! They got me down as some guy that lives three states away that owns boats and houses, etc. etc. so I look rather foolish when speaking to the phone rep who is asking the questions. "But Im really me I really am!" :doh:

So I googled around and saw a messload of sites that promise me the world for a small fee but then offer up total **** once they get my cc #. Can someone recommend a reliable site that offers this sort of service? For some contrast I also ran into alot of very professional looking sites that also promised the world but offered no pricing and require that I fill out a contact form so they can call me back and grill me on our business details.

So Im looking for somethig in the middle, offering good info with a minimum of prying into my fictional business details. Any info or experiences anyone can share are very much appreciated. Im already down a couple hundred bucks just using trial and error and got nowhere. :mad2:

Id try Intelius. Search free to find people with Intelius People Search, Background Check, and Reverse Phone Lookup

Excellent thank you Ill give it a shot. Do I need a subscription? Or can I just pay for one lookup? It seems silly to pay $30 for a month of service if Im only looking up myself. Maybe I can offer the service to members on the forum for the rest of the month. Hmm..

It was extremely accurate. It gave me info of possible ID fraud when there was a credit card in my named in another state, my parents name, car/tickets, etc.

Just FYI, whenever you try using these searches, it will hit your credit record and definitely lower the score. If you have no problem with credit record, then there is no worry.

Are you referring to a hard credit pull?

Yes, they will definitely do a hard credit pull to get some of the information if it involves credit cards.

Intellius works fine. Use it often for off ebay business.

You should also take advantage of the free credit check available annually.

In the USA, there are several available to use.
Use this USA government site which explains the story.
