First the Phone number 0/00 Limit now VBAs?

First it was the issue with the 0/00 limits on eBay seller accounts thank god that got resolved with the Tracfones. And now I've been reading and experiencing that vbas aren't working, that the banks are "updating"
Sent messages to a few ppl here but anybody know anywhere else to get vbas? Or when the updating will finish?

I wonder what's next for eBay/paypal

Solutions will happen.

Dont forget there are options other than VBAs.

The game is choice.

Choose to play and find workarounds.

Updating.. that's an interesting word. Hopefully that's the case and not just limits because of past abuse on VBAs.. grr.

Re: First the Phone number 0/00 Limit now VBAs?

It seems like both Ally and Bancorp VBAs are affected by this. Adding either one of them to Paypal causes a near instantaneous limitation.

The details of the limitation email is really interesting. It reads, "Since this is a new account, we'd like some additional information to help confirm your identity." Could this be the start of Paypal's version of a new account MC999?

Anyway, they wanted the bank account to be confirmed and the phone number to be verified. The bank portion was easy enough - just had to wait for the trial deposits and enter the amounts as usual. The phone verification was a bit harder.

I don't remember what the screen said exactly, but I got an error message when clicking continue (they wanted to text a pin number to the phone on file - I used a Tracfone. I suspect the wanted a landline). Hitting cancel took me to a similar screen, which again I don't remember exactly what it said (I should have taken better notes - my apologies), but I was able to receive the pin number from that 2nd screen, and I then entered it into Paypal without issues.

In about 2 minutes, the limitation was lifted and my Paypal account was restored

Good to know, thanks for the tips and experience.

when i said "updating" is from a seller on the forrum
he/she said that they cant get any because of the bank is "updating" i dont know if something is lost in the language, but just thought some vba sellers on here may know something about this and enlighten us

i was saying vbas not working cause alot of sellers on here at least couldn't get any vbas at all, had nothing to do with limitations or what not, just couldnt get any in general, but it seems as its resolved (getting vbas at least)

i was having an issue with Instant verify with Ally ( i know frowned upon, but i've had good luck with it)
i think it was the new template,
i changed it to the classic mode and everything, but still couldn't instant verify, (weirdest thing)
so i called PP and one rep told me that they MUST wait for the deposit,
when i asked why, they told me that they dont have the same affiliation as they do with "normal banks" such as Chase, Wells fargo, BOA etc..
because it was an "online" bank it MUST wait for the deposit.

I think the full name of the bank is "The Bancorp Bank". Not sure if it's a prepaid debit card variety. I bought the VBA from a seller here.

Good luck Gman91189, keep us updated with what happens.
