PayPal got limited after adding a bank account
 

I have opened ebay and paypal 2 weeks ago. I added a bank account to the new paypal. And got limited by PayPal. There are no money in the PayPal. They asked me to confirming the bank account by providing bank statement, and confirming identity by providing a photo ID and utility bill. Both ebay and paypal are very new with no sales. I think I should give them up. But what went wrong? I opened both account according to the instruction by Stealth Book.

I have used the following to create the paypal
1. vanilla visa card
2. Ally online account
3. TracFone

Ally bank is a no go with mismatching names. Thats probably what did it.

True on Ally but...doesnt happen like this...instant limitation doesnt really happen even with ally bank...just deposits will fail

It's ally bank, recently I made 7 accounts using my own personal bank all accounts worked no problem. I then tried using ally bank and I got limited I then made 2 more accounts using ally bank same result. I get the paypal experiencing problem message.

Right now I'm going to make a thread letting people know the full story

are you really sure that it's "ally bank" that causes the limitation on paypal side?

And you are sure you followed the guidelines in the stealth guide to create your account step by step?

LIke Rsot said, usually it doesn't happen this fast.

What other steps did you do?

Cleared computer

User account

New IP

new address/name

info between paypal & ebay match?

Speaking of tracfones, do they still work flawlessly? I read a thread somewhere it caused someone to be limited just like GV

Trac Phones use the ATT network. This thing is, they look like the number are recylced form former ATT users... so they ahve names attached to the account.

I use to buy them all the time for Craiglsit marketing... call another phone you own with advanced caller ID and the registered name will appear.

I am wondering if PP is using this and then considering it Mismatched name, OR if it is a Bank thing, where they verify phone numbers registered to the bank.

This is all new over the last 6 weeks or so to me.

I'm almost certain it's the Ally vba that caused this. Simply adding their routing number will cause the account to get limited literally within seconds. It must be a new thing Paypal started doing (about a month ago). I haven't changed my methods at all in the past month and never had an issue with Paypal limitations before, which is why I think it has to be the vba. Bancorp vbas give similar problems. I can't say whether it was a fluke or not (because I obviously wasn't going to continue to use Ally vbas after that), but it happened on two separate occasions on two different accounts which I'm 100% are link free. And I haven't had the problem ever again since I stopped adding Ally vbas.

SaiJin, I exclusively use tracfones and haven't had any issues.

I may try those tracfones. I've been using real cell phones myself.

I never use VBAs, are the routing number the same or is it different compared to a real Ally checking account?

I'm not sure if they are the same , but I'd think they would be I'll check on that , but I just added 10 all VBA a week ago and the accounts are all good so far, it was the first time i used a VBA

BankGMAC BANK


The routing number I used last week for GMAC Bank which is now Ally Bank was 031176136, but it is now saying the new routing number is 124003116. Not sure if that is something that just recently happened
