| lovethisforum | 08-05-2014 07:30 PM | Verified PayPal account Hi everyone,
I am sorry if this question has been asked recently. I did a quick search and noticed some info no longer works/relevant and that's why I decided to ask again here. I apologize for any inconvenience in advance.
I live in Canada, and I am looking to setup a 'verified' Paypal account for Facebook. I read about 3v and vanilla visa card, both are good for funding the paypal account - but it doesn't seem to 'verify' it.
I am wondering what I need to make it verified? Do I have to sign up for a VBA? How does that work?
Please let me know. Thx in advance. |
Re: Verified PayPal account The Gift Cards/VCC/3V alone does not Verify a Paypal.....You need to add either a VBA or Bank Account to Fully Verify a Paypal. |
Re: Verified PayPal account You need a bank account for verifying Paypal. VBA is difficult for the Canadian PP platform |
| lovethisforum | 08-07-2014 09:54 AM | Re: Verified PayPal account Well, if I add my bank account on there, wouldn't that expose my identity to paypal/ebay/others, and ruin the purpose of a 'stealth' account? |

Paypal CANNOT see the name when you add the bank account....Paypal can ONLY see the numbers added. Were not going to suggest something if didn't make sense. |

But you forgot rsot was going to come along, MM78.
Not quite sure what he thinks he means here....
:boink: |
Re: Verified PayPal account Not sure? You use a stealth name on PP not your real info - PP only sees bank digits and whatever name OP gives to PP... |

rsot posted something we could understand.
Not yibberish. (That's an Eskimo patois I found out).
The post I quoted caused a ripple of pm's as to what you meant.
Now we know.

It just depends if your bank will accept a deposit from PP with that name correct?
Your bank can reject this or not? In Europe my European accounts we only need a credit card/VCC to verify it. If it's a bad batch then they will require ID, drivers. Electric bill, or any type of bill with address on it to match the PP account. ID is only required to show the name is spelled correctly with DOB.
I could email my bank and ask them to open up 10 more accounts under my sub account not a problem. (this would be to withdraw funds) I normally just send the funds from PP to my main PP (I know very tricky, but hey what can I say, it's how I pay my supplier ;) ). |

| It is the case for all PP's that I am aware of (most EU, UK, USA). There may be an exception that I am unaware of. Quote:

| That is why its very important that people check that the bank allows mismatching name deposits. Some banks have issue with deposits being made in another name and will ask questions about it. |

I am 150% sure no one on this forum had a bank in that country, so there is no way to ask anyone here. |

| Banks around the world claim to protect their customers with the sharing of information.
As a rule of thumb, paypal is excluded from seeing information.
The exception to that is usually if paypal does a manual review of a banking transaction.
Should that be done, there are more times than not, serious issues with a paypal account.
Keep in mind, paypal is so many different departments within the one establishment.

:smash: | So the answer is banks will accept my deposit then? |

As a test, I have named deposits for Australian banks The Cow Jumped Over The Moon. No problems ;)
Bear in mind, rejection is more likely to happen with numerical account details being wrong.
Banking is so automated nowdays, everything is a numbers game.
When you select a bank, and one of its accounts, you should read their fine print to see how stuffy they might or might not be.

:juggle: | Yeah my banks are a bit more complicated in that field. But since it comes from paypal they don't ask where the money is coming from. You know my country of banking. :thumb:
I will email them today to open up sub accounts for deposits.
Thank you GB! :) :thumb: |
