Help! Suspended account MC999
 

Good afternoon Stealth crew!

Today I received an MC999 email from eBay as follows;

"Hello username,

Thanks for selling on eBay. It's important that we speak with you about recent activity on your account. Because of this activity:
- We've temporarily restricted your selling privileges until you call us to verify your account.
- Any active or pending listings have been removed. You can see a list of removed items below.
All associated fees have been credited.

To prevent your account from being closed, please contact us within the next 48 hours at this link (you may be asked to sign in):

We appreciate your help verifying your account as quickly as possible.

eBay

Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email."

This was the process I took based on the eBay Stealth eBook.

Using the direct connection to DSL modem method; I am using Netgear N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit DSL Modem Router - Premium Edition for this setup.

Come to find out within the settings it allows me to tweet the Modem/Router Mac Address and apply to obtain a new IP Address without having to wait 4 minutes for unplugging and boot time of the modem/router. I hope this is acceptable??

I had all my stealth information available (name, address, DOB, bank account information, etc.) minus a pre-paid gift card with the stealth account name, I just wanted to get an account active before investing any money into a card that would become "worthless" due to the billing address and name associated with it.

Through the process I setup the PayPal account, attached the assigned bank account (opted to wait 2-3 business days for deposit as opposed to instant verification), I then setup the eBay account. I attempted to list (one) item after that I was prompted to re-verify some information (address & phone) I received the automated code number then I was processed to PayPal to add a debit/credit card, I opted to cancel the process since I did not have a card yet. Shortly there after I received the MC999 email.

Apologies if this post is long, better to be detailed than not, right?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

I would remove the username from the post if I were you regardless that you have been MC999'd.
It is becoming more frequent not only in the US but UK aswell, listing too quick, item listed and account creation as well.

They just want to make sure you are not a robot. Answer what you can, depending on who you get, the account may be reinstated. Call very late about 11pm EST. Make sure you have your stealth gear and a couple of addresses for previous residence before calling.

Your modem is fine, this is not the mc999 death sentence to your account.

They are looking to verify your information.

You'll need to call in and speak to a CSR and answer some of their questions.

If you get an agent that doesn't reinstate your account, you can try calling back again until you're successful.

Hopefully you'll get the easy questions where they ask you...

1. where did you purchase this item
2. what do you plan on selling on eBay
3. how do you plan on shipping item

Thank you all for the sound advice!

Being that the name is made up and the address is one within my locale, I would certainly not be able to provide an previous resident information.

As far as starting to sell too quickly on a "virgin" account; what is the suggested "days" I wait before I start to list?

Would it really behoove me to even call eBay to verify any information or just create another account?

I always wait 30 days before listing, that's personal choice though

So during this timeframe I would be safe to assume you are creating more accounts while selling on others?

-Add on does this "aging" process entail having linked a prepaid card to the account also or can I just wait instead of risking another MC999 on an aged account?

I have called 5 times and lost 3 accounts. The two accounts I saved still have the 25/$1250 limit. One of them is TRS and PowerSeller.

I like to do sales after 2-4 weeks of browsing and bidding. About to turn an account into selling...hoping for no issues...

I'm still hitting a road block, are there any alternative methods besides going out and buying x amount of tracfone. It would be so much simpler to have a true method that works, text+ would be ideal. Does anyone have any suggestions in terms of apps that serve the PP mobile verify purpose and should I need to call PP or eBay I can use the same service\number???
