| Swizzle | 08-26-2014 05:34 PM | Account down. Damn This is my fault but it's like I'm not perfect. My paypal account is limited, and they are asking for full account number. Chase is one of those banks who don't give the full account number online just the last 4. And so when they surprised me with a random selection for security, and asked me for it, I didn't have it handy and I put off calling in to get it because I'm so busy. I clicked off the screen thinking I'm going to figure it out later.
I forgot about it a couple of times after that and tried to sign in a few times without the number and now it is limited. And I have signed into ebay on the account on multiple user names accidentally, I'm sure they will get linked when ebay figures out my paypal account is no longer good. And here is the kicker, I didn't have a residence when I set up the account and I sent the card to some other address when I set up the bank account. Now just yesterday I stopped into the branch to see if I can get a card made their for the account and surprisingly they made a debit card for me just like that. BOOM and now I can't use the freaking account.
A checking account there is 12 bucks a month, so I can't just have it open for no reason that is 124 bucks a year for nothing. It is crazy that it costs so much. |

Take a step back and rethink your strategy. You cannot operate how you normally were used to. Stealth works if you are patient and careful when navigating between accounts.
And regarding the $12/month...you can usually waive those bank fees if you maintain their minimum balance (such as $1500). |

| jeffweico | 08-26-2014 08:01 PM | Re: Account down. Damn I hate to say it, but I don't see stealth working for you. It is not rocket science, but it requires attention to detail. And you have expenses in selling online, just like in any other business. If it makes you cringe every time you have to spend a few bucks, I see trouble ahead.
Each of my accounts has a working phone number ($8 per month), a bank account ($15), a separate internet connection ($25) and refunds cost money as well. I make a lot more per account than I pay out. If you view expenses like that a waste, then you will have a hard time making a business work.
I mean no offense, selling online is not for everyone. |

I like your this cool sentence " selling online is not for everyone" :thumb::thumb::thumb:
I am still headache to be stealthy, learning very carefully. |
| nodeal | 08-27-2014 01:51 AM | Re: Account down. Damn don't be discouraged.
chase is one of the more "expensive" banks i find (though nobody should be going broke over $12/month). Bank of America is a little pricier as well. TD and HSBC have better prices for checking accounts.
$12 a month per bank account may sound like a lot when you are first taking money out of your pocket for initial expenses, but you need to look down the road. Spend money to make money mentality.
Besides investing money, you need to invest time. Taking the time to do things like making a spreadsheet with addresses, bank info, telephone info, passwords, etc. for each account is a hassle but incredibly worth it. Taking the time to pay attention to detail and not log in with the wrong user name, or a duplicate ip is crucial to success.
You need to be incredibly patient. Some people just want to see the money flow into their hands with each transaction. It's a slow, slow process from account creation to pay day. Don't let it deter you. |
