My Stealth Set Up

After reading as many posts as I can on here and hopefully getting the right idea I have detailed below my procedure to set up my new stealth eBay & PayPal accounts and was hoping somone could confirm if I have it all in order or if im missing something.

1. Set up a new email address with Gmail.
2. Set up a new eBay account with this new email address.

Notes -

I will use a friends address on eBay sign up and a different name.
I will only sell from this account so address should be okay. Any returns hopefully I can request to my own address?- I have a pay as you go mobile phone to use for number verification.

3. Set up a new paypal account also with new Gmail email account.

Notes -

I have a seperate Halifax current account which I havnt used in years. This also has a debit card which I can add to the new PayPal account. All of the bank and PayPal details have to be in my correct name and address - is this correct?

4. Verify paypal account with new bank details.
5. DO NOT link paypal account to eBay account?
6. Change and keep log of IP address each time I log on.
7. Manually erase cookies etc... or use a programme to erase.
8. Do not over-do sales early on and sell high risk branded items.

How does that sound?
Feel free to pick holes.

Ideally you would avoid using a friends information. Mailbox is a much better idea.

Initially need to delete cookies and flash, but after that you want to keep the cookies intact.

PP cannot see the address the bank account is registered to. They will be able to see that a debit card has failed the AVS check though, so you need to use a VCC.

Have you read though the stealth guide already? If not best thing to do it to get yourself a copy.

I haven't read the guide yet but will be purchasing in the next few days to up my knowledge even more.

Do i have to register a debit/credit card with paypal or can I just use the bank account as all I need it for is withdrawing money from paypal to bank acc?

Also you mention using a friends postal address on eBay is not a good idea. How can I get a mailbox postal address and do I use this on PP & eBay or will paypal require my correct billing address (which is mine)?

You create the pp address according to the po box address

Okay, so I may have a change of plan in my approach to getting back on eBay.

Basically a friend of mine has said I can use their account.
I have already listed a couple of items for sale on there.

They live 100 or so miles away from me and have the eBay account set up with their name, address and paypal (all real obviously).

At first whatever I sell he is going to transfer the funds from his PayPal to mine as a gift (minus selling fee's etc...)
Q1. Will eBay/PayPal find this odd? Although my eBay acc got suspended my paypal seems fine.

I will continue to use his account and build it up as the feedback score is only 9 at the moment but 100% pos which is good and it has been an open account for over 2 years. I will also be trying to request a higher selling limit in due course which eBay will need to verify the address by means of a letter - no problem there.

In the distant future I have suggested to my friend that I take over the account alltogether and change the address from his to a mailbox address of mine and swap his linked paypal to a stealth paypal I plan to set up with new Bank acc and VCC.
Q2. If i change the address on eBay to a mailbox address surely it won't match my PayPal bank account address which has to be my own doesnt it?

Can anyone else see any flaws in this approach?

1 - PP will not like that. That will cause a link. Your friend may loose his PP because of it.

2 - Very hard to add a new PP to an established EB account that already has a PP account attached.

I think the entire plan is flawed to be honest. Using a friends account is generally not a good idea. Should be building your own from scratch.

When making my paypal I have to sign up using my correct postal address by law correct (the same one as used with the bank account I am linking to that PayPal).

When I then make my stealth eBay surely I cannot use a totally different address as I was lead to believe the address on eBay and adress on Paypal and Bank all had to be the same?

You create both your EB and PP using stealth addresses.

The bank is made in your real name. The bank will not share your address with PP or EB

1. No - address does not need to match the bank account address.

2. Only the credit card address used should match the stealth address on the account.

3. Bank account address is not relevant.

When doing my PayPal how close does my stealth name have to match my Bank Account info/real name without it getting flagged?

So long as your bank accepts mismatching names it can be as different as you want.

Say your name is George Davids - It could be Samantha Lola

And I suppose the only way of knowing that is trying?
I bank with Lloyds TSB.

I have a middle name which is a common first name, what about using my first name and middle name and missing out my surname altogether?

Lloyds nor TSB are good banks to use with mismatching name.

Just think of a bank and search for it on the forum then read the posts about it. Pretty much all banks have been tried and tested now.

This all just seems like too many things can go wrong :( maybe I'll just give up. I have a Halifax bank acc never been linked with eBay PayPal etc... I was hoping to use that and get a vcc slight name change on eBay and PayPal, buy a postage mailbox and I'd be away but just seems like I keep hitting brick walls :( would I be better off paying for a ready made eBay and pp account?

Even if you buy a prepaid account, which has got its benefits, you still need to learn how to operate the account safely.

It may seems really complicated, but really when you fully understand it it is all very simple. You just have to learn how to prevent linking yourself to old accounts, other than that you run the account like you would a 'non stealth' EB and PP

Halifax would work great
