Using stock images on new stealth account

Hey guys,

According to the guide, we are recommended to list our first few products using our own photos. At what point can we start using professional stock images i get from the manufacturer with a proper model (eg clothing)?

When we list our first item, ebay staff manually looks at it? When is it safe?

Why not just mess with the pic a little bit with photoshop before you post? Why must you post exact same stock pic from the manufacturer?

i can mess around and tweak it a bit sure. My point is, i want to use the photos that are done professionally to sell better instead of using my own camera with crap lighting and my room as the background. Will ebay limit your account if the first few items you post is a professional image on a model etc? Or does ebay have unspoken rules about posting items with amateur images as this is most likely what a "normal" seller would do

So you want to use other people's work...professional or not, I wouldnt - too many people might have already used it/been using it.

Answer: eB MAY limit the account or you may be ok - nothing is 100%

good, make sure you do just that to link yourself to an old suspended account.

Way to go.

Why ask for help when you want to do it differently?

Using stock photos may be risky until your new stealth account is well established.

That's why we advise to avoid doing that.
