A weird one on PayPal

Not seen this before

I created an eBay and PP account new details new ip address’ etc

for PP i added bank account and and entropay card

all good n well

I started browsing with eBay, I hadn’t put any bids in or attempted to sell anything but 3 days after opening account got an email from PP.

Dear Someone,

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.

What's the problem?

For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some
more information about the use of your debit or credit card linked to your
PayPal account.

Case ID Number: PP-I5-A-B17CH
How you can help

It's usually quite straightforward to take care of these things. Most of
the time, we just need some more information about your account or latest
transactions.

Has anyone else had anything similar?

Ive entered the card number and it shows completed. eBay has also refunded me the money however account is still limited for some reason

What I am seeing now is:

Limited Account Information
Return to limitation details
Complete the steps listed on this page to initiate a review of the limitations

So I’m guessing it they’re reviewing it? - any ideas how long they usually take?

Re: A weird one on PayPal

1. Just Entropay used on the account?
2. When was the account created?
3. How long after adding the EP card did the account get limited?
4. What documents they asking for? PHOTO ID / CC STATEMENT / UTILITY BILL ?

Yes, they have been reviewing accounts from scratch since the beginning of September, a mixture of VCCs have triggered documents or reviews depending on how they were added.

Re: A weird one on PayPal

1. Yes just entropay for debit/credit card (also has bank account attached)
2. Account created towards the end of August
3. EP card was added when creating the account - limited about2/3 days after
4. Photo ID and they deducted some money from the VCC and asked for the reference number next to it

How long do they usually take once they got the information required?

Re: A weird one on PayPal

Basically they were asking you to confirm the card. Did they ask for the CC statement?

This has been happening across a lot of VCCs recently, as I said, starting at the beginning of September, seemed to have cooled off but the time frame 2-3 days after creation is similar to what I experienced.

For those reviews 24-48 hours and once accepted all should be OK.

Wow that's so weird, we have the same case numbers when dealing with PP issues!
