Counter-notice helpful in appealing suspension?
 

Hi everyone, so my 8-year old 1000+ feedback ebay account was recently suspended for VERO even though the item is authentic (it was a Chanel Beaute makeup bag that I received for free with my Chanel makeup purchases). I called in to ebay and the guy on the phone told me that he'll put in an appeal for me and he told me to file a counter notice at the same time to increase the chances of the appeal being successful. My question is this: from my understanding, I thought counter notices were only helpful when you have a listing taken down for vero, but not so much when the account is already suspended?

it is true, a counter-notice is more helpful with a takedown, but if you follow it through, you may or may not get your account back if the vero owner backs you.....

whilst chanel are hot on stamping out....I find it very hard to believe you lost an account for just selling 1 vero item, particularly one of those freebies you get with purchases...it is not normal.

my original account went down many years ago, for this reason, I had sold a handful but not many and ignored warnings as items were authentic, and I did not understand and got 3 strikes, I visited rights owner, who said they would contact ebay on my behalf, whether they did or not, I do not know, but I never got the account back, plus all linked accs went down...that is when I joined the forum...
