Adding new user on windows 8.1
 

Hello,

This might sound totally random, but I am hoping to make sure I have gone through everything before I stealth for the first time.

I have 2 laptops, one with Windows 7 and the other with windows 8.1

When creating a new user account through Windows will it work exactly the same on both platforms? (i.e all histiry, data, flash cookies etc are wiped)

I would perfer to use the laptop with Windows 8.1 as its much more portable and easier to take away with me. I was not sure if anyone has tried this on 8.1 and if its advised to keep to an older platform of Win7?

Yeah it works the same. I have Windows 8.1 on my desktop and laptop. You don't need Windows 7 or older just to use stealth so don't worry about that.

I thought I would want to use 8.1 at first, but the new 8.1 user accounts screen is horrible when switching between accounts. And, I found that when I had more than 15 user accounts on my win 8.1 machine, there would be a visual glitch that made all the profile pictures and names disappear when switching between users. It made it very hard (impossible?) to switch between users quickly.

I kept the 8.1 machine for other things, but my work laptops all use Win7 for ease of use and QOL issues.
