Tracfones no longer work for confirming identity via phone. Any alternate solutions?
 

The past few days every new stealth account I've created has come with a 21-day hold (NON E-BAY TRANSACTIONS) that require me to confirm my identity via phone. I use Tracfone's which worked in the past, but as of these past few days every stealth account identity confirmation has failed when trying to use a Tracfone. It says unable to confirm identity using that number.

Any alternative solutions?

My tracfones are working just fine on both EB and PP.

You might want to check everything, for I created 3 accounts with trac phones today. There may be something in your area that is flagging them but there is no issue with EB or PP accepting these as verification at this time.

These 0/0's still seem random to me, but they seem tougher to get bu because of the holidays

hey the trac ur using is it the phone that was originally listed on ur acct to begin with or are you adding it afterward to the acct?

Both. I bought brand new Tracfones, did a fresh number, started a new account and put the number in during creation. When it didn't work I thought maybe just a bad number so I did a new number, and had the same issue.

Just made 6 today with new tracfones and all had no problems. Also, not getting anymore 0/0 acounts. The worst I am getting are 5/500.

Uhm - I think he's trying to use TracFones to avoid the 21 day hold, not avoid 0/0.

AFAIK there is no way around this.

what ive noticed with tracfones the blue sim cards never get the txt from paypal but the black sim cards do.

Here is a little work around I have been experimenting with. If I do not get the text from PP then I will make a GV account using the Tracfone as the forwarding #. Then with my new GV phone# I put that in PP and I get the confirm text that way. This has worked 100% of the time.
