Paypal Uk limitation
 

pp uk account was limited with the following message

we need some more information about some money you recently received or withdrew?

account has been verified with docs about 4-5 weeks ago.

ebay account is fine, just won't let me use pp for payments.

what could be the problem? chances of having it reinstated?

Does it say this at the bottom of the paypal limitation :

This limitation cannot be appealed against

Or does it ask you to submit documents?

ive just checked and it does say it cannot be appealed against.

when i log in to pp it says this limitation cannot be appealed against.

when i click the resolution and why I have been limited, the screen just says the reason for limitation and pp case id and no " this limitation cannot be appealed"

PP is suspending stealths permanently for the last 2 weeks, it happened to a few people in the last 2 weeks including myself! Similar scenario to yourself! I was gob smacked like you, also over 100 feedback etc PP is obviously working over time to crack down stealths, came up with some method to crack down stealths. We just have to come up with the solution against it, that would be a challenge!

this happend yesterday and i only ever used this pp to receive ebay payments.

i never sent any money and all payments were from ebay customers.

so this bank account is pretty useless for pp?

it could not have been linked as this was my first stealth and it was going for 6+months, 100+ feedback and £6500 / 240 selling limits.

i bought both the ebay/pp acc from this forum

It is highly unlikely to do with something that occurred at Account Creation. Although not impossible.

During the day to day operation, something has happened to trigger this.

I have about 22 Stealths now.

I made them all myself.

The first I made nearly 2 years ago but left it for nearly a year.

I have made very light use of them, and been extremely careful.

Have you ever transferred funds from your Bank Account to the Paypal Account either voluntarily, or forced to by Paypal?

You have been lucky you haven't been hit by latest PP limitations, a few people also been running their accounts smoothly and got suspended out of nowhere on the same day including myself, it is not possible that all these people made identical mistake on the same day and exactly exactly the same limitation.

The vast majority on here are having no issues at all.

It just appears that many are due to this sudden influx.

There is a reason for what is happening.

All will become clear.

Maybe they are checking authenticity of the docs and working in the particular order, for instance the guy who lost 3 accounts last week had all his accounts going for 10 months same as my account, it was also 10 months old, at the moment no one knows what's going on. It is all guessing work.

If this was true you would be seeing a far far greater influx of Paypal accounts going down reported on here.

The number of stealth docs submitted daily in the UK only must be astronomical. Hence the nearly 30 day waiting time.

It could be they are performing random checks on certain accounts.

This is clearly not the case as I am submitting about 7-10 sets daily. Little to no issues.

My thoughts were that it could be down to the fact until very recently Paypal themselves didn't have the rights to use credit reference agencies for identity verification but they do now and it means they can run random checks with CRA's for "ongoing account maintenance" - it may be they are doing it on all accounts by date of creation or something similar? If they can't verify you automatically. Boom. Limited.

This would cost them money which I am assuming is why they never bothered before but they would be able to do it through CallCredit fairly cost effectively and could explain the pattern of limitations.

Had this happen to one of my accounts today. Withdrew funds yesterday to my bank and today the account is limited because they require information about a recent withdrawl. The account has only ever been used for receiving ebay payments and was verified.

I'm wondering if they're now able to see the name of the account of the receiving bank/

If PayPal did not limited accounts for no reason then we would've have gone the stealth way.

I agree every business has look after it's intrest and prevent fraud. But they we millions of millions of stories about PayPal limited people accounts.

I just wish we had a another option.

It is on the Exact same day the 15th November as the other limited Paypal users :(( and have the EXACT the reason.

Paypal even did not send any email about the limitation or inform about the funds which will be released after 180 days, just simply limited, so my question is if i will get the money in paypal back?? :(((

Hi just had 2 more paypal accounts go down same reason as before we need more personal information but no option to resolve the issue. At bottom account cant be reinstated !!!!
These 2 accounts were bought of same person and gone down again

SOMETHING GOING ON !!!!!
i only browsed and put on 2 bids. Used different ip's and new user accounts set up. This is ridiculous.
Anyone else having problems with this

We need to look for what these accounts have in common. Aside from the fact they are all stealths and all in the UK, is there any other things they share in common?

What type of phone number was used?

What VCC, or credit card?

What bank?

It just seems to me that if they were now using STRICT verification measures on all of these accounts, then there would be HUNDREDS of users here talking about it, not just a few.

If it is early days of checking, then it's not yet time for hundreds of users to be talking on the topic.

As it stands, there is enough happening to raise concerns.

I'm still in learning process but most people have bought them accounts from a specific seller. I think it's something to do with ID or bank account when they verify the paypal account.
Similiar pictures, DOB or name can cause limitation as well.
IMO All people should try to buy from other sellers.
PayPal and ebay are gonna split soon. Hopefully it will be easy to deal with ebay. :violin:

Serious question. I've got in touch over 18 accounts that got limited. Some have a few 1000 in, others few 100, paypal are not responding on when the funds will be released. Obviously we know legally they can't hold them forever. is this normal on a cull and will they nearer the time message me about releasing them or respond to my emails?

If it helps anyone the accounts I had limited where not purchased, had an entropay cc, voip for phone (with correct area codes), gmail email and two different banks.

lol, Has anyone had a response from paypal when requesting funds, as usually they reply with the typical 180 day thing or rolling reserve yet i've had nothing.

Had the same problem, account limited with the no appeal notice. This was on Saturday(27th) from an account purchased from here. Everything had been fine for about 3 months.

I've made a couple of my own accounts since purchasing the above mentioned account using knowledge learnt from this site and they haven't been affected yet. So fingers crossed.

Do you have other accounts that have been unaffected by this latest 'purge', or were they your only accounts?
