Do you recomend any firewall or software that I can play around with, in order to solve the X-FORWARDED HEADER problem.
I´m not a newbee so it does not matter if the software has to run in linux, freebds, etc., I´ll have to make it work anyway, so I can acomplish this task once and for all.
I appreciated.
Ps. I did clicked on your link using AOL Software and it printed my original ip address, which is overseas. | Im in the same boat you are.I've been debating getting one of thoose at&t dataconenct cards, $60 a month for 5gb(basically unlimited usage), and it should give a new ip each time you connect..Cant afford to risk those accounts

Only I still have to find out more about IPs(public, private, etc.), such as:
- Dedicated servers IP Address or addresses.
- Additional IPs for a non-clustered dedicated server.
- IP Subnets for server clusters.
- Distribute IPs throughout a VLAN on a dedicated server cluster.

Activity: 0% Longevity: 88% | | I know this is an old topic, but here's some new info
I just spent the day testing the aol broadband ip & XFF blocking problems.
Here's what I found while on AOL - even after refreshing,
the ip's below stay the same within each site/window.
All windows were opened simultaneously.
I used 5 diff ip checkers, 2 with XFF checkers. IP Burger 64.12.116.XX What Is My IP Address? 64.12.117.XX Current IP Check 64.12.116.ABC IP Address Geolocation to Country 64.12.116.XYZ IP Flag.com 64.12.116.XXX XFF - NONE What is My IP Address, Hostname 64.12.117.ZZ XFF - EMPTY
Can some of the tech savvy members give some input?
Why are the diff sites ALL reporting different IPs?
Also, unless I've been using the wrong websites,
the XFF checkers all come back as "None" or "Empty"
meaning XFF are not being reported by AOL. (Did I miss something?)
To the people who have tried to register and was denied,
I only mention this because I know a seller who used aol broadband (free ver)
to register both ebay and pp (about 1-2 months ago).
He is still up and running and does all his administration through aol broadband.
He has now built up to over 30 fb's and 3 accounts. Non-Vero items.
I KNOW that AOL broadband is NOT recommended, I have been reading.
But as a curious observer, I almost have a NEED to know what the heck is going on with AOL broadband.

The I.Ps are all one digit apart..not a noteable differnce.
In either case, what IP these websites give you IS NOT the same I.P eBay, PayPal, or any other website with SSL(basically all login sites with a secure login) will see.
Not sure if the XFF header will come in to play since it is not what is giving your I.P away , it is SSL(which bypasses the aol proxy)
note:SSL is sites with http s://
eBay can definatly see thru AOL proxy when you are in the parts of the site that are secured..However, I dont have any evidence to say they suspend or link because of this.

they definitely see through the aol proxy, if you want to see the real ip address ebay sees, then all you have to do is go to ebay and click "forgot password" they will then email you and they will tell you the ip address it requested from.

There's alot of information in this thread, did anyone figure it out?
Can you use aol dial up for mult. eb & pp accts? Do they see your ip on dial up?
Do you need to create separate user accts?
I have an established eb acct that i moved to aol dialup because i got linked on alot of my cable accts cause i was just logging in and out, then i found this site, but don't know how to proceed to get back up, anyone know?

AOL Dial-up is safe to manage multiple accounts. IP is not a thing to worry if you only use Dial-up on your computer. No separate windows users are needed. Just remember to log off AOL then back in before you switch to a different account.

Bluemoon, I'm not sure what you mean. But you still need separate user accounts when using Dial up.

Yowsa, Information overload in this thread lol.
Interesting to read and see the outcome of testing and opinions, however i think i`ll stick to that old expression ( If it aint broke dont fix it) and follow Aspkins guide.
I use Dial up only on my stealths, and so far my income has been steady the last 3 months since my first stealth opened, although high speed would be wonderfully convient, having my income from my sales is much more convient.and so far no stealth accounts have been shut down, i am running 5.
So, ill stay ole school for now.
Anxious to see outcomes of these testings though.
Before i used stealth method, i tried using aol 9..0 browser and had 3 accounts immeditaly shut with in a week.

This is getting quite confusing! I have been following the instructions on Aspkin's stealth guide, but are people trying to say that the IP address displayed on sites like IPBurger and Current IP Check do not display your actual ip address and that eb and pp see a different one?
If so how can you prevent accounts from being linked?

If so how can you prevent accounts from being linked? | if you don't use aol then don't worry about it. but if you use aol and use the aol browser, the ip address if you go on IPBurger.com will be different then if you went on IPBurger.com via firefox or IE. if you use aol browser ebay sees the ip address of firefox and IE
