3rd party linking?
 

Hi all,
OK, I am probably just paranoid but thought I would put this out there. I am using ebay and paypal with a separate user account on my desktop. I use this just for ebay and paypal. I do not delete the flash objects or change the ip address when returning to my other user account thinking this will make ebay and paypal happier which of course it what we all live for:)(I don't use ebay or paypal at all in my other user account.)
Is there any possibility that ebay could have agreements with other companies like yahoo for example? ie. could using the same ip address with both yahoo and ebay get someone linked? (Yahoo is just an example, could be anyone.)

No... but I hope you're changing your IP address between user accounts you log into. Your cookies and flash objects are fine.. but ip address still needs to change.

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying that IP address still needs to change if the other windows user account is not used for ebay or paypal at all since I only have one ebay/paypal account. Will this not be a red flag if my IP is different everytime I log into ebay/paypal? I have DSL with no router therefore my IP changes rarely unless I disconnect deliberately. Does ebay not realize this? Thanks, sorry if this seems obvious.

Oh, if you just have one ebay/paypal account then you're okay. I thought since you had multiple user accounts you had more then one ebay/paypal account. You're fine then, no worries.
