Also, when eBay sends notice of buyer wanting a return, it gives seller a few days to respond to buyer before ebay steps in, so use those days to try to contact buyer, email and phone if necessary, and offer to send them to their email (not eBay messages) your return label or ask to return to label in box, and NOT use ebay label or ask for one. After that you can go ahead and "accept" the return in ebay and refund when you get the item, eBay will not know where the return was sent I believe. Does buyer has an option to upload tracking number of return?
A little more work but it could at least fix some of those returns from buyers that initiate it without contacting you.
Something else that can limit those is include text in your invoice in box stating to contact you before any issues/returns, or include text along the lines of "Returns Department" and an accessible address, eBay will never see this but it will let buyers know that there is a different return address and will contact you first since they don't want to send it to wrong address either.
