My paypal got limited and asking for proof of identity. Tried to confirm it with the phone but it not going through keep getting this (We couldn't verify this phone number. please choose a different phone number or add a new number)

I just made a new paypal account and tried to add Ally Bank and got limited and is asking to provide this

can i send them a electronic (photoshoped) copy of bank statement or utility bills like gas/cable??

The bank account is the problem.
I had the same issue using Ally - which is why I stopped using them altogether. Its a problematic bank and way too risky to use.
Since this is a new stealth account wouldnt it just be easier to dump it and start over?

then if you click on Continue, in theory you should be able to receive the call from Paypal.

yes i have an option to receive a call from paypal. but what will they be asking ? I have no idea what to expect

I haven't been able to create any stealth all week, I was like 0/6 all got 0/0 limits.. but today I was changing up the way I create the account and was able to get 2 accounts with 10/1000 but when I creating a listing my first item, ebay ask me to verify my account to continue, anyone experience this ?

is it true that paypal now required you to verify your phone before vba now ?

It's been a while since I had to do this, but I believe it's just an automated call where you enter a pin number.

At least with Ally/GMAC VBAs, yeah. For that reason I've held off on adding VBAs. It's a 5 second fix as long as you have the phone used to create the account, but the fact that we're having to do this when adding certain banks tells me that they're trying to weed out stealth users. I really don't think many normal users use GMAC as their primary bank (since it technically doesn't exist anymore), and Ally has been used for VBAs for quite some time now. I just run my accounts like I always have - slow and steady - and when I'm ready to ramp up sales, I'll add a real bank.

Automated call.

I know this is US but in the UK I would always upload the proof of address. Anyone can forward a phone call, I think giving that document MAY have more credibility

Great, so I just went through the phone pin code verification, and that status now say information submitted, do you know how long it would take paypal to remove the limits once this is done ? also, if the limits is removed is it still ok to link the same ally bank account back to it again ?thanks

Paypal have restored my account and I was able to add the same Ally bank back to it and verified

after my paypal account has been restored and verified, i went and list my first time on ebay then got mc999 - temporary suspended and need to call within 48hrs. i called in and went through easy questions like how i will be shipping item and where are they stored etc.. and got restriction removed. another account got same restriction and called in got same easy questions.
