Ongoing issue for UK sellers.

It seems to have nothing to do with linking at all.

Read up what has been going on with our paypal and ebay, been many postings in recent weeks, time for you to catch up if you don't know about it, then sit back and await developments from others who are currently working on this very problem like the rest of us!

Leaving accounts to sit does not make the slightest bit of difference. If they get flagged, the fact they have taken little or no money makes no difference.

I keep reading on here how everyone is to standby, keep reading the forums and wait for some announcement. Does anyone know who is going to be making this announcement which is going to save the day for UK stealth?

Nobody on here (myself included) has any concrete proof as to what is causing these limitations. Some of us have a few ideas but as Paypal will never tell us outright what it is they are checking for, we can only guess at solutions.

In my opinion, there are several issues which need overcome. The first issue is one of document submission / approval. Some believe that this is the only issue however there are dozens of accounts that have been hit with the "confirm identity" limitation where the EU limit is still in place and no documents have ever been submitted or requested.

I believe that there are some other checks being run which flags the accounts as stealth and are getting them closed down. If these were standard risk-based limitations then documents of some description would be requested. The fact that Paypal just shut the account down indicates they have enough "evidence" to decide they don't want to do business with us. As I say, this is only my opinion, based on what I am personally witnessing / reading on here.

The first hurdle will be to get documents that can stand up to scrutiny at the highest level. Secondly, stealth accounts need to appear more "credible" than they currently do. How either of these can be achieved is certainly very much up for debate. I personally doubt an individual messing about with editing software on their PC has the ability to outwit companies that are leading the way in online fraud prevention but I would love to be proved wrong on this.

Those that are expecting this to be "sorted" within a few days of 29th Dec might want to revise their expectations. It will take weeks / months before we know for sure whether UK stealth is going to viable in the long term.

Well said EB,
At the moment it seems like any attempt for new stealth is a dead end. Please advise of the best paypal alternatives out there for 2014 - 2015, most I've read on here are a couple of years old.

Those images do not show anything of use to PayPal. Case ID is not complete.

Of course not all PP's spies :spy: have to do on there system is search for an account that:

got limited on 28th dec
has a balance of £x.xx
had a withdrawal of £xx on xxth dec
not had any other activity in the 7 days prior
has a partial case ID of pp-xxxx

That's a whole raft of info your giving them there bud!!!

Why don't you just ring PP, tell them who you are & invite them round for a coffee
