| | | ellmexicann | 01-04-2015 09:32 PM | eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Do you guys typically just pick a name/address out of the phone book for a true stealth account or do you make up a name and apply it to an address? |
| yankee | 01-04-2015 09:33 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Your choice. |
| ellmexicann | 01-04-2015 09:40 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Are there benefits to picking one out of the phone book? Better selling limits, verification reasons etc? |
| yankee | 01-04-2015 09:42 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Most people Pick a common name. Remember that NOTHING can be verified via public database questions. It is fictitious. |
| Bunneh | 01-04-2015 09:43 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts The address definately has to exist. 😕 |

So the name is easier if it is extremely common to not have the correct answer to but you can not verify anything per say. |
| ellmexicann | 01-04-2015 09:50 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Ahh, I see. I tried to verify an account one time and they got into those questions so I hungup. When it comes to limits, is it generally recommended to just let it ride and follow the ones given by eBay? (and not call eBay to try to raise them?) |
| Bunneh | 01-04-2015 09:51 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts What yankee is referring to is when you create the account your selling limits will most likely be 0/0 until you call in and thats where they ask your random questions to lift your selling limits. |
| yankee | 01-04-2015 09:58 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Account creation today is much more challenging than 4-5 months ago. I don't have time or desire so I just buy them these days.
It used to be that if you waited 30+ days before listing you did not have to call in. Now it is a crap-shoot. |
| ellmexicann | 01-04-2015 10:01 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts I've made 3 accounts in the past 3 days, and they've all started with $500/10 items.
Did I just get lucky? |

Did I just get lucky? | Hopefully now that the xmas season has passed, things are more laid back HOPEFULLY.
$500 is newer and lower. |
| yankee | 01-04-2015 10:04 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts You still may want to consider letting some of your accounts anyways sit 30 days. |
| pokerpro | 01-04-2015 10:56 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts I'll take 5/500 every tiime......no need to call in , and if you do it right , limits get raised quickly........be happy you didn't get 0/0....plenty of those going around. |

(and not call eBay to try to raise them?) | You naturally build the account - avoid calling in for limit increase and risking ID request by eB |
| nickh04 | 02-19-2015 02:26 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts I was told be a merchant on here that picking a name and address out of the phone book is ID theft and illegal. |
| Kajunrook | 02-19-2015 07:24 PM | Re: eBay Name & Address for "Stealth" Accounts Ebay has a database. If you would use a business address i.e. McDonalds they will call you and ask how long you have lived at that address and then you have to send in bill, drivers license, etc showing that address. Happened the first three times I tried to use a NON residential address. So I just borrowed a name and address from a friend who does not have ebay account and used Vanilla Debit Gift card to sign up paypal and all is well. |

 | This is none of your business. When will you learn to mind your own? |

So pointing out the very obvious and one of the most common problems people come to this forum about(using other peoples info and having a ton of problems, loosing a friend and accounts, money, etc...)
The whole point of this forum is to make people think. That is all that GB was saying. I doubt she could care much less about your personal arrangements of your friends fiances and tax liabilities...
Why post anything? :shhh:
I am going to go back to minding my own business now.

Since you appear to like looking like an ass, I guess I need not ever worry.
