Stupid offers from buyers

I have a item for sale for $55 with free shipping. Its a bulking item and its going to cost $10-15 for shipping.

I have best offer on it. A buyer sent me a offer for $14, I just get offended with offers like this lol so I just decline and don't even bother to counter because we're too far off.

He sends another offer, for $15, and sends a super rude message how I shouldn't have best offer on if I'm not going to negotiate.

*Ignores buyer*
*Blocks buyer*
*Set best offer rules/minimums*

Lesson of the day.. use best offer minimums or whatever their called haha

Its very easy just set minimum acceptable price automated so buyers will get declines for silly offers
You can set the price whatever you want to be left for your consideration, lower than that will be declined on a spot

I just put in auto decline.

Not worth the time it takes to log into the account to decline daft offers like that.

Re: Stupid offers from buyers

I don't decline them I just let them be. I have auto accept over a certain number.

Im sure declining brings attention to your account.

I also agree with SilentHill - I just don't respond to stupid offers - I don't to risk any accidental clicking /period

Re: Stupid offers from buyers

My most recent one. Item is on at £110 with best offer.

I get offered a very reasonable £80 through messages.

I respond with my message accepting 48 hours later. He then responds

"sorry mate I have spent the cash on something else now. I only have £50 spare?'

Do people really think this is a good tactic to employ? Lol

Bbl and messsage ignored.

and there are those that still give you an offer even though you don't have best offer option.

If I have a $20 item up and someone sends me a dumb offer like $4, I send them a counteroffer of $19.99.

ROFLMAO. That's awesome.

I just dont use it. I always feel insulted when they offer less than what I am asking anyhow.

Some buyers start with very low offers and after you send them a counteroffer with a note "I can't go lower" they will accept it. I would never block low offers because i never know what's going on in customers head, some people think that starting with a very low offer it's a good strategy.

I just always auto decline it, if the person really wants it they usually just keep giving offers till its auto accepted

True, I will never block a low-baller, it might work for them sometimes. However, any buyer that throws includes a rude message gets added to the block list. Those buyers are usually trouble.

Re: Stupid offers from buyers

I just ignore most of them. Occasionally if I'm in an account and am waiting on a sale for the last item, I'll accept one if it's a good offer.

The ones that get me are the people who get upset when they lose out because they were too cheap to pay full price, then try to blame It on the seller.

I never refer a buyer to another stealth. I'd rather lose the sale than cause suspicion.

These are usually the buyers that become a problem for me should I let them get any further in a sale.
