Where is the turn off images on my iPad?
 

My iPad does not give me the option to turn off email images, all the usual ways of doing that read on here do not seem to apply, for example the settings symbol in each gmail account when first logged into that gmail account has no option to disable images. Any ideas out there!

Go to SETTINGS

Tap MAIL< CONTACTS< CALENDARS


Scroll down ( quite a way) to LOAD REMOTE IMAGES ( green button open). Push to close.

Images no longer load.


Be careful with the emails 'cos it sometimes looks like the images are broken. If they are non ebay/paypal, you could let images load OK.

Cheers Greenie that definately sounds like a plan!, I have spent ages trying to sort this, my Galaxy S4 android mobile blocks images no problem but the iPad was so tricky to sort, just needed your wise words!

What bugs me is the terms used.

I looked for 'turn off images' and found nothing. Then found on apple Load remote images so worked out that was what I wanted.

I don't know about other countries gmail but if this helps:
1) Click the settings symbol (looks like a gear or gear round inside a wrist watch)
2) The press settings word inside that drop down menu
3) Then down the page click 'Ask before displaying external images'
