Default ProPay Torture

Long story short, I lost the paypal in one of my accounts, the account was in good standing decent selling limits and I didn't want to let it go and decided to try ProPay

38 orders all day and only 9 paid. 2 of them I had to follow up and send a paypal invoice from an other paypal account

Is this normal with ProPay? It is not the customers. They want to pay.

But ProPay says payment is processing but it never clears..

Never used it personally. I did use BidPay way back dating myself. Would advise to clearly make it known you only get credit cards through eBays trusted service ProPay. Look up some other sellers. Losing PayPal is rough for sure. Model yourself on others best advice I can give.

I just used the forums search box above and advice going way ack to 2008/9 was saying Propay is a no hoper, nothing since then to indicate anything changed, and that seems to be backed up by your posting on here today emings 5, it is still not advisable to use it with Paypal.

ProPay CAN work, but you need a good record to use it and you will probably have to call them more than once to get everything straightened out. I don't advise it for stealth accounts, but if it is your REAL account, they seem to process everything smoothly once you clear their underwriting process.

ProPay just isnt that popular, I would imagine you would unfortunately lose a lot of would be customers if only accepting propay and not paypal

I use them primarily on one of my websites. As merchant accounts go, they are not too bad. I like the fact that there are no monthly fees and that they are a bit more stable than PayPal.

You are right, however, that many eBay buyers are only interested in using PayPal.

Thanks for the answers everybody.

Again, I want to clarify something.

Unlike those old posts about this in the past, my problem is not that customer doesn't wanna pay. They do want to pay but their payments are not approving.

Now I have an angry customer ; that says he paid and attached both eBay order page and his CC statement however, on my eBay it still says payment is processing and there is nothing on ProPay

I think you would have better luck using Skrill vs. Propay or Paymate

I will try Skrill. But they want me to fill out a 5-page form. ProPay took 5 seconds
