I don't know what the limit is, but I have had at least 45 at one time and saw no performance problems or bugginess. Could have made more user accounts but I just didnt need to, hope that info helps.

I'm running 7 right now on win 8. Pretty simple to use.

I downgraded all my comps to Win7 after I had problems going above 25 user accounts on Win8. I found that the User Profile Pictures would disappear making it impossible to accurately select which profile you're trying to log into.

Also, I hate the scroll-screen feature that shows the different User Accounts in Win8. It makes it difficult to quickly log in / log out.

A lot depends on how much ram you have as well - make sure you log off each user account when you use another to speed up operations.

As my own experience goes...i do dialup operations from a P4 (!!! yes I do) - 512 mb - slow to switch user accounts but I have like 30+ on it

^^^^ 2nd what RSOT said.

I run an SSD with minimum 8gb of Ram in all my stealth machines. I am a total speed freak.

I suggest running WinXP for stealth. It consumes up to 10x less resources than Win7, and the only thing it should do - allow browser access without cookie issues, and it does it perfectly. A quite weak modern machine can run zillions of WinXP instances The same can be said about multiple user accounts inside single WinXP.

I too find windows 7 much easier for this purpose.
I have 400 user accounts on my Windows 7 machine - and its by no means a 'super' computer in terms of hardware. Its very easy to switch between user accounts.
I skipped Windows 8 altogether because of things I heard and am hoping things are better with Windows 10 otherwise ill be sticking with Win7 for the next few years.

8 is the same as 7 in the terms of a regular user.

Solid advise. I switched over after 123's suggestion. As I phase accounts out all new accounts are going on VM's.

VMware does consume more space, but much easier to access and if set up correctly, no need to worry about where you are when you access your accounts, huge plus if you travel a lot.

This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible.

This host supports Intel VT-x, but Intel VT-x is disabled.

Intel VT-x might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting.

(1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable Intel VT-x and disable 'trusted execution.'

(2) Power-cycle the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed.

(3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Player.

(4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.
