Does somebody know how to increase limits?
 

Hey guys.. i have a question.
As you know, few months ago, if you open account on eBay AU and upload 10 products, so after 24 hours your limits raise to 100 sells automaticlly.
Also the money on PayPal was available right away and you didn't have to wait 21 days.
I don't know why but this was cancelled and its very frustrating..
Do you maybe know how to get this back?
Or maybe there are any other eBay site which there are those things?

Well - to be honest - the OP did wait 2 days so...it's not so bad in terms of patience hah.

Unfortunately, I don't have more info on your situation OP. Why are you on eBay AU?

how long was your seller account a 'seller account' before you started listing on it?

I'm selling on eBay AU because as i told about 2-3 months ago, it was the only eay i know that new sellers didn't have to wait 21 days until money was opened on PayPal, and the only eBay that new seller could sell with 100 sells...
And i stick with this eBay because i hope that maybe i'll find a method to get it back XD

I have many accounts.. i don't gain feedback rate, i sell with 1 account and then creating another.. each account of mine created about 2 months before i started listing on him...

From reading around the forum, I think this is a myth - 21 day holds apply on all PPs regardless of country

If its gone then theres no way to just 'get it back'. Its gone for a reason - it was a loophole and ebay and paypal are good at closing off those loopholes.
Don't expect to see this happen. Unfortunate but true.

Well i can tell you that it was not a myth, i did it for about a year and the money was availible the second you sold some thing..
But now its gone ;/

eh? I'm looking for all the posts from the OZ sellers saying they were selling without 21 day holds.....

wonder why there are none?

I also wonder how come I add banks and never had an account without the 21 days hold in the last year. It's probably all about the method of creation I guess, need to play with their algorithm to find the loophole.

21 day holds applied to paypal transactions through eBay.

now 21 days holds apply to all transactions made with paypal.

If you are registered on for example ebay US and you list on ebay AU there will be an automatic 21 day hold with pay pal.

Your timing is out.

First you say you got told several months ago about this. Then you say you have been do the selling for 12 months.

Sorry but that does not quite work. Like I said, there are no posts from those based in Australia selling without 21 day holds.

Equation for Increased Selling Limits:

Fast Shipping + good customer service + quality product + Maxing out limits = increased limits.

BAM!

Most of my accounts now are at at least 30,50,60 or 100 items a month. 1 or 2 are stuck at 10 just b/c low activity, which will change soon.

This is all I really need over 8 total accounts.

Patience is key. People are always looking for a quick fix.

Stick to Aking's advice and you will eventually have high limit accounts that will last you a long time.

Why does no one mention calling eBay and requesting an increase?

I did this before on all my accounts (had 2 mains, one stealth) never had a problem.

Is there some issue with this method?

If you call and aren't verified they might ask you security questions from public records, which can link your accounts, if you are using name variation. If they don't find any info on your current name, they may ask you for previous address, which you might not have.

If they ask those questions, give them a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ second address. When no info is found, they usually just say they can't increase your limits. Then you hang up and call back in 20 minutes, ask a different rep, and get your increase.

Wash, rinse, repeat until the desired outcome is achieved.

I feel sorry for those of you with jobs....bet you never ask your boss for a raise because "it might get you fired" LOL

Another method is build up several stealth accounts and spread the sales.
