Re: Do I need to clean these pics

Rosie there has to be a cleaner via mac. I am not saying you should but not cleaning them is "probably ok" :)

I would prefer you find something to clean them. If not find another program to open them and rename them :) GOOD LUCK

Re: Do I need to clean these pics

My iPad was struggling so much with getting to grips with exif cleaner and batch purifier, that I took my laptop that has vista on it round to my son, he has a snazzy speedy set up on his computer and got bother exif cleaner and batch purifier downloaded and installed instantly on his setup, one thing with that we both noticed is that the name so therefore the identifier on the computer is not removed, all the other metadata was removed, but the computer name and some digit type code under that name stayed and that was with both of those cleaner sites, surely it would have been removed both of those as well, or do they not matter, find that hard to believe.

if I am using images from 'google images' do I still need to clean them. I have used them on my suspended account, but if I am using them from a clean computer now are they safe to use? Some of then I have uploaded to photo bucket to get a url, so if I got a new photo bucket account and reuploaded them and got a different url would they be OK? I am using a MAC too.

Yes you will need to clean your pics as you used them on a previous suspended account shaggydoo, you can't be to careful and they will have some metadata in them from the old account. When they are in photo bucket you can use exif cleaner or batch purifier lite.

Re: Do I need to clean these pics

Use an offsite exif cleaner, just go to google and type in "exif cleaner", this way you can keep the files on your iPad.

or, if you have access to a Windows 7/8 PC, a much easier, more efficient way is to download BatchPurifier, then, open it, and on the main screen, click add and find all the files you want the EXIF cleaned from. Click clean and it's done within a few seconds.

One thing I can add is take the time to learn BatchPurifier and exif deletion on your PC, it is much faster and trust me, you will be doing this constantly if you make new stealth accounts and add photos from a shared device.

Every time you upload photos to your accounts from your iPad, you will need to do this. Efficiency is key to success in the long run. Even small things like using Batch Purifier will save you time; that time saved adds up, and allows you to focus on other things and make more money.

Hope this helps you! :thumb:

Agreed, I have finally got batch purifier working on my vista laptop and now that has been done it is very easy to use and does give a great sense of relief that don't need to worry about any possible metedata linking on my pics.

Nice! Now in the future, you are just a few clicks away from cleaning all exif data for Ebay. Also, I believe if you right click on a file->, there is one called "batchpurifier" in the shell you can use directly. This cleans it immediately without having to open up the software. Little things to cut time down really help! :)
