How long to get Sales Limits up
 

Hi Guys.

We currently have a very well matured/legit biz eBay/PayPal account with no visible selling limits. Our eBay business is high volume, low margin stuff and our current turnover is around 15-20K GBP a month. Most months we sell around 2,000-3,000 items to make up these figures.

Obviously I want to have a backup account in case eBay pull the plug on our legit account because I know even legit accounts can have the rug pulled for no reason sometimes.

So my questions is - how long would it take to get a new stealth or legit account up to the level where we could support this type of business? I appreciate it's probably best to create multiple stealth accounts in order to sell more and diversify risk but just interested to know how quick I could expect a single account to get to the level where mine is now.

I know this is going to be linked to time and creating a reliable selling profile but assuming how I maxed out selling limits each month where could I see my limits on a new account over the next 6 months (estimated projected monthly breakdown would be cool).

Start reading about Stealth by getting the Stealth Ebook, read it and absorb it. Obviously as a UK seller things are different from the US but take the time to see what you will need to get some "stealths" up and running.

One thing to remember... Stealth = slow and steady.

You have come to the best and most helpful stealth forum, everything you need to know is here, it will take time, if you create you own accounts will be a slower process, can buy from the marketplace on here ready made accounts with raised account limits, worth looking at both options for you, both options have to be treated like exactly what they are, new accounts in the early days and weeks and even first 6 weeks to 2 months.

Thanks for the feedback guys/gals. I'm pretty familiar with the stealth process (looked at it years ago in quite some depth) so will attempt to build up some stealth accounts myself.

To get to that level won't be easy and probably will take many accounts. It is better to plan now and at-least have some backups so you can at-least sell and keep the lights on if worst comes to worst. It may not be the same but so many individuals are shut down without any backup plan and in horrible shape. Even just a few backup stealth's can make a huge difference in such an unfortunate situation.

Multiple accounts are the best strategy.

To get to 2-3k items a month.....it's going to take some time. Forget eBay "limits", just getting them to feel comfortable with an account doing that type of volume takes time.

The bottom line is this: The more FLAWLESS transactions you have, the faster eBay will feel comfortable with you having more business. Fastest way to get more transactions is to call eBay and get a limit increase every 25 days. Yes, you can wait months for "automatic" increases, but no legitimate business has time for all that. Call them every month and get your limit increases. Have MULTIPLE stealth accounts running in the background, if something ever goes south, you have others to fall back on.
