I ordered a package from my supplier last night and for the first time ever DHL randomly called me this morning and left a message. He wanted to "discuss my international exporting". Has this ever happened to you?

Yes.
They might need an SS or EIN for your business activities.
It is NOTHING to worry about.

Why would they need that information though? I'm shipping to a personal address, for all DHL knows I could be shipping random stuff for decorations around my house. Lol

They are required to track people with a high number of export business and may require a ssn or ein for various tax purposes.

I've had maybe 5-6 packages this year. I don't think that'd be considered high volume, would it?

It may be them trying to talk you into opening a DHL account with them. 5-6 packages would not have them calling you. Do they have any packages for you right now?

Well I ordered last night and I should have a package being dropped off to DHL tonight.. but they don't know that yet.

I have received these calls, they are usually sales type calls. I wouldn't worry about it.
