Re: Heads up My Stealthy freinds (USPS)

Everyone "should" get to know their Postal Workers.....Every Christmas I give my Mail-Man a nice gift as well as the ladies at my Local Post Office....No questions ever asked, even when I have to pick up a package NOT in my name. Granted, it's not always easy to find a Post Office with good people but they are out there. I've never had a package get lost that was delivered to my Post Office.

interesting read... I have not encountered this and I have sent thousands of packages through stealth accounts.. all through the same post office, no issues. I would think you have nothing to worry about.

I'm new to stealth, but not to eBay.
I agree about being nice to your Postal Workers...it makes things much easier in the long run.
One way to be nice to them, especially if they are irritated with scanning 100 packages at 4:45, there is a scan sheet that you can choose to print along with your labels. All the Postal worker has to do is scan that one sheet and count your items.
I live in a small town and my Post Workers were relieved when I started bringing this in for them.

So far no issues.. My old routine was... mondays sales go out tuesday etc... But now, during off season monday's get picked up wednesday morning, i start the mail LATE tuesday so some of tuesdays does go out wednesday. I drop it off about 8pm and so far no issues. This saves them the stress of end of the day scanning etc.. I even saw a package arrive to the sorting center 6 hours early for once today. So i was happy about that. While they are going to be delayed an extra day, i feel better about it. I just put my box # on all the packages, and drop them off at my cool post office.Who never has given me an issue.I had planned on bringing them pizza or donuts once, but i didn't.I may do that once the holiday's begin. I can even get it ordered & delivered without showing up. And no i don't go back to the post office that gave me ****. i don't care if it looks bad, the particular supervisor that had said something to me, i've seen her on other occasions bitching at them in the back to get the line moving, she's one of those supervisor types that are hard ass's. I hated those, which is why i run my own business now!

This is why I LOVE drop boxes.

Granted what I sell is perfect for them.

Yea the 24 hour drop boxes are awesome. Personally for me it so much easier as a full time stealth eBay/Amz seller to work at night. I drop all my orders out every night (early morning) and they go out while I am still sleeping. Lol.

Had a long talk with my Postal worker and they make commission on scheduled pick-ups. I have since switched to pick-up. No hassles! Why its in best interest of the postperson to keep us going.

Also, if you schedule a pick-up, no matter what the time the packages are "required" to go to central distribution that day. They will wait until last driver is in.

Which is great I have had my driver come in last (7pm) and I still get to ship out packages purchased after PO is closed. My customers go wild over delivery times and love it.

From my experience they kind of run hand in hand. The Post Office has to be in a big enough area to have a 24 hour machine drop box. In my experience here the little tiny post offices don't.

I will say that I do make an conscious effort to only drop off packages at larger post offices. Postal workers at the little tiny places do seem to be a bit snoopy from my experience.

Hey Moscutter:

I signed up for teapplix.com this past week, and let me tell you what an awesome program it is. If you are running multiple stealths, you can add each account to this program and it will automatically import all of your orders onto one screen. You can process orders from literally an infinite amount of accounts all at once. It automatically signs you up for Endicia and Express1 accounts, with your real information. NO need to use stealth, and your real address will be printed on the return labels. This software is tested and Stealth friendly, so no need to worry about accounts being linked. Just purchase postage from your account, and print labels all at once! I was using different addresses for each of my stealth accounts when printing in eBay and Paypal before, and my mail carrier began to snoop as well. Better safe than sorry. Plus, this software saves tons of time and gives the same (if not better) shipping discounts than eBay. Just a suggestion!!

Interesting for sure. I vary it up, some days 1 post office, another a different one etc. i have plenty of choices if i want to waste 30-45 mins.
