Where did I go wrong?
 

I had about 8 stealth accounts and as of now I've just received restriction notices on all of them. One was a powerseller account and they asked for documents, some were generic we don't like your selling practices. All had 100% positive feedback, only selling generic non branded goods.

Names were made at random and I used addresses of local apartment buildings.
I have different users set up on my laptop and go in through there only.
I have dedicated IPs to each which I use anonymous-proxies.net
I always take exif data out through jStrip.
Each account had a verified PayPal with a Vanilla Visa gift card and bank account attached.
All phone numbers were verified with a tracfone, no google voice.
Each account did maybe about $400-$600 in sales for now.

Any other ideas on how they could've been linked?

Are you using PROXIES or VPN's? Because proxies don't work very well. VPN's do, but you have to be careful of the provider. I am not familiar with anonymous-proxies.net, so I really cannot comment on them.

Something definitely linked the accounts for them all to have gone down at once.

Thanks for replying. I am using individual proxies which I set up in Firefox so that I can only log in through those. I thought proxies were the better way to go as I am paying per month to hold that proxy as my own IP; am I wrong?

private proxies do work great, are the accounts linked to one certain shipping address in ANY way.

Removing data when you exit could be a problem. Most people do not do this. Furthermore, it could be an issue with the proxy provider. EBay can keep logs of different providers.

There is a difference between a proxy and a VPN. Also, for a proxy to work at all, it has to be a SOCKS5 proxy.

I have to admit that I am not the most technically oriented person in the world, but you should ask your provider if these are considered VPN's or proxies. If they are proxies, ask if they are SOCKS5 proxies.

Highly recommend dropping the proxies, much safer going the VPN or VPS route

Phone tethering.... Or dialup.... Log ips for each account

VPN working great super for me, excellent customer support as well, cannot do better or I haven't been able to anyway, 24vc all the way.

No e-mail forwarding and can eBay see where I am shipping the items from? All my stealth accounts are within 25 miles of my house but yet I ship them all out of the same post office.

Another question - were accounts ALL selling similar stuff?

I thought individual IPs was the way to go, is VPN really the only way to go?

Some of the accounts were selling similar items but some were selling starter low risk items like used dvd or clothing from around the house

I bought four used cell phones all with hot spot capability. I put a plastic sticky label on each on the front across the front. first last name registered ebay name and email address phone number then again and again.
I turned off other cell phones when I am using the other.
I used one laptop with five different hard drives. Each Hard drive has the corresponding name on it. Different email addresses. Yahoo. msn google hotmail etc.
I am very careful almost paranoid when I use them.
Same bank five new accounts.
Addresses: I went to the local UPS store and bought five boxes. Instead of box number you use apartment number. The UPS store says lots of people do this. I went to three different stores. I gave them the matching cell number and matching email address.
Privacy act they can't see bank they can only see accounts.
Never move money into any other account. Sadly must go to bank and or do transfers on line from account to account.

In the process of moving my world to desktops. Five desktops systems. Each desktop system will have a USB wireless card set to the hot spot on one of the cells.
About to make an error the wifi will not be found. Turn on correct one.
I use a generic camera to take pictures. It has a stick that I move to the computer and load. Sadly each cell currently has a certain colored back ground.
One is red, green, dark blue and so on.
Using Android cell phones my fear is that the program may read my data thus moving to the desktops these units will not have anything from anything else.
Only one email which corresponds to that account. No Google set up on each blah blah blah.
Have five accounts. Bought everything used locally. Systems are older cost about $50.00 each. Cell phones about the same. Did this over a few months. Everything was set up in a spare bedroom and now in the basement. Cell phone carriers offer family plans so the five phones per month each with 2.5 GB internet are total $110.00 about. Now it is four lines each hotspot capable $100.00 a month plus tax. Four cells I just use for Ebay so I'll never hit maximum.
Four systems total cost $200.00. Five cell phones certified used or on sale with hotspot $50.00 each total $250.00 then four UPS boxes $80.00 a month. I have one so the additions are for the additional accounts. Using the cell family plan and the UPS address after my initial investment of the systems and or laptops the cost per month per account is roughly $45.00.
Just remember never transfer money from one to the other account. Never ever send money to anyone on any of the other accounts. I am very careful almost paranoid when I use them.

A long ago drug story. When big deals were going on back in the late 60's early 1970's the faucet was always running. Why? Typically minutes before a raid they cut off the water so you can't flush anything.

What an overkill. Single PC with VMware on it could do the same.
