Found a new product

I tend to sell products around the $15-60 price range.. but I recently found a great niche that I want to get into and the items sell for a range of $300-600 depending on style etc.

I'm going to do Amazon FBA but I'd also like to sell on eBay also.

How would I prepare an account for these type of high priced items? What would YOU do?

I was thinking of building up the account to 60-90 days with 20 or so sales and go from there. Get a basic foundation and slowly start listing them. The item isn't TOO specific so I could list the different styles across accounts.

Besides aging an account your going to need some solid feedback, otherwise you may suffer in sales. Also, does the item fall in a category limit?

No category limit.

There's no phakes of these items on eBay so i don't think VeRo will be an issue. I can only imagine being hit with documents request because of high value sales.

Most sellers only have 50-500 feedback anyways. No massive eBay sellers with thousands of feedback are selling them too so that will be a plus

You could convert to a Business PayPal/EBay so the only thing you might get hit with is invoices.

If it's a name brand, it can be Ve.Ro'd at any moment. All the brand owner has to do is file a complaint against you. Even if your products are legit with legit sources, don't think that means you get a free pass. Only way to find out is to sell it and see what happens.

Convert to a business paypal once I get hit with the EIN request correct? Not right away...

Things seem to be changing a bit.

Selling NEW items without having a paypal business has been causing a lot of issues lately ESPECIALLY on those $300+ items.

Invoices and a ID/proof of address seems to be required once you start selling those items successfully.

But I thought that if you create a business account from the start you're required to have a SSN?

If things are changing a bit, I'll do some of my own testing too. We'll see

Change it when you start selling new higher dollar items and by all means test.
