What were the biggest time savers you discovered since selling on EB?
I remember when I first discovered printing shipping labels on the 2X7 inch labels, I actually bought the label printer for another purpose and it was the biggest time saver I ever discovered. Up until that time I had just paid at the post office and no less than a dozen post office employees told me (many, many times over, almost annoyed at times, which made me think the label thing was for THEIR benefit, not mine) that the prepaid printed shipping labels were cheaper/easier/faster. Once I started using them, I was so angry at myself for sitting there writing by hand on the small flat rate boxes one after another for all those years.
That's an old discovery, and judging by the packages I receive, almost everyone has switched to some version of a printed/paid shipping label. Now tonight I was reminded of that discovery while replying in a post and echoing someone else's recommendation to use a 24/hr post office drop window/box if you happen to live anywhere close to one. It's one of those things that you hear over and over but don't make an effort to try and then one day you do and you think "why didn't I do this a long time ago" (By the way- driving a good bit out of your way to regularly mail from a 24/hr drop box and removing the whole postal-line experience (if you can, and have the option) from your life was for me, almost on the same level of discovery as the self-stick postal labels.
Which makes me wonder, are there a few other things that I could/should try for my routine, which would make things so much easier? Anyone else discovered something that is a huge time saver that you can't recommend enough...?
If there were a list...
1) Prepaid postage labels- either Ebay shipping or another vendor (of course, this is an old one)
2) Look up and try using the 24/hr post office drop off window if there is one even anywhere close to where you live.
any other recommendations...?
