Ebay and Paypal Stealth accounts, the limited company route
 

Hi guys,

I run a limited company with recently banned details and need to go stealth. I used to use stealth accounts in the past, but I became lazy and just kept using my legitimate account (yes, I know...) For several reasons, I need to use Ltd companies information to verify several stealth eBay and Paypals accounts.

I know there are some forum members currently doing this and I would like to ask them to share some information before going down this route, warnings, advice, etc. These stealth ebay accounts are likely going to move quite big amounts of money, so I need to be extremely careful.

Any comments would be really appreciated.

a new limited company is ok, but anyone can look up who is behind it, online.

maybe go the sole trader route with at least a new address.

Do you know for what kind of verification ask Paypal when setting up a sole trader account?

Wouldn´t be a Limited Company better in the long term? What if a friend of mine opens a Ltd company being Director and shareholder so I can verify Paypal with real information? This friends understand the risks of being limited by Paypal/eBay, also he would be paid. This company could remain dormant, we would just use it to obtain info to verify Paypal and in case Paypal wants to have a look at Companies House.

From my point of view, this is the best way to do it, you provide 100% real documents and also the account would look more legit in Paypal eyes.

the friend route is ok for some, and it would work. I would not mess with friends and business personally.

sole trader, just set up a business account, no more verifications than a personal account..

oh I agree, real is always good/better, for the most part. However most of us here burned our details years ago....although actually full personal details can be a reckless thing to give them.......I got a new set of details after I joined the forum, due to someone crazy agreeing to marry me and a new address, and actually I decided against using them on ebay selling, they are just used for my buying account, which is nice and strong....
