| | | ReduxRetro | 08-17-2015 03:02 PM | New accounts getting limited after a few days? Hey guys,
May last few accounts have been getting limited after a few days. Using the same methods I did in the past, haven't changed anything that would now be randomly causing limitations.
Any ideas on what may be going on?
Anyone else having the issue?
Thanks. |

| ReduxRetro | 08-17-2015 04:58 PM | Re: New accounts getting limited after a few days? I am not listing on eBay. Using accounts to sell entirely on my own third party websites. Using a One Vanilla Visa for the credit cards, and real bank accounts for the banks.
After a couple of days of opening I get the following email:
Your PayPal account has been limited
Your PayPal account has been limited because we've noticed significant changes in your account activity. As your payment processor, we need to understand these changes better.
What does this mean?
This account limitation will affect your ability to:
send money
withdraw money
Additionally, you cannot:
remove any bank accounts
remove credit cards
close your account
To "remove the limitation" I have to do the following:
Photo ID
Bank Account Statement
Proof of Address
Provide Invoices
Supplier Contact Info
Provide Proof Of SSN
Provide Proof Of Business Existence
Provide information about your products
Provide business information
Provide proof of delivery
Confirm Identity
(Alternatives available)
Provide website details and access information
EDIT: That last one seems a bit odd to me? |

It very well may be a proof of address and photo ID. If that is the case, no big deal at all.
If it is business accounts, they may ask for proof of business. Then it can be trickier.
Also never do they really need everything they ask for when you call. |

I called originally and the woman told me she just needed Proof of Address, Photo ID, Proof of Business, as you said. I uploaded it all, called back, and the new person told me I still had to upload Proof of SSN, the Website info, and a couple others. Wondering why two people told me two seperate things!
Furthermore, any idea what's triggering this in the first place? This is the third account since last week for me :( |

Let me ask you this, when setting up the account I had selected a different business type / category when creating the account to try and get around the 21 day hold (which I successfully did) -- could this category be the reasoning? I chose Novelty Gifts / Flowers / Etc. |

Thanks. | did you receive any payments before the limitation ? or did it just become limited as soon as you attached your cart to the websites? because the same has been happening to me as soon as I attached the cart and received the first payment. |

Initiated a withdrawal on Sunday, and sent a payment today. It was about 22 hours after my withdrawal was submitted, and about an hour after I sent a payment.
2.5ish days since I opened account and received initial payment. |

If yes - it is possible that they checked your website with whois.
Try this to check your website: WHOIS Search | ICANN WHOIS
The solution is relatively simple - you just do "private domain registration". |
