PayPal limited with docs at limit
 

Hi all. In the past when PayPal says I'm getting to the limit, I provide docs and everything is sorted before I get there.

This time round I gave them the docs, 3 weeks later they still haven't finished the review and I go over the limit so get suspension. I email them (via website) to ask them to hurry up reviewing docs so I can keep selling, straight away I get an auto reply saying deal with it via resolution centre. 10 mins later I get an email saying I am too risky so they're splitting our relationship, funds on hold for 180 days, then I'll need to give them ID again.

Go back to overview, click on limits, and my submission has disappeared so I have resubmitted them (docs were still showing submitted in separate resolution centre for limitation).

eBay is fine, top rated seller etc. Not selling anything high risk or vero.

Have I done something wrong this time? Purchased docs off same guy on here as always, although this time I got colour passport, previously always b&w driving licence.

Have I got banned because I went over limits? Even though I was still waiting for them to review ID? Or has the ID failed? If not, will they eventually review it and lift the ban? Previous accounts have always reviewed successfully in 2-3 days.

ID failed that's why you got the high risk message.

To get your funds you will be required to provide a new set of ID upon 180 days being up

Ok thanks for that. Any idea why the ID would fail?

There's only about £30 in the account which I can happily abandon. But would a new set of ID unlock the account? And what exactly do you mean by 'new' ID?

Because it's not good enough for PayPal to accept and they know what's going on :)

Hitting 2500 limits was not the case. If I encounter such limits, I send in docs, and stop any activity in the account. Then it may take up to a month for them to review them, during that time I develop other accounts. Then they either refuse or accept them. Usually, they don't like bad quality and scary faces. So it should be really nice, with intelligent face, and it will work.

Yeah I've got other accounts its just a PITA to move everything, especially as it was a high limit eBay account with established shop.

Most of my backups only have 30 limits or so, which takes time to build up when an entire shop goes down.

Has anyone ever tried making a different PayPal account? Alternatively I've got old dormant paypal accounts fully verified with no limits from banned ebay accounts!

It might work for a while but eventually they will link it and shut that one down too...

The accounts toast...

Start working on those other ones.

sigh...I guess I'm just waiting for someone to tell me what I want to hear.

I know the docs aren't guarantee but I'm pretty mad as it seems such a simple thing to get limited on.

I'll give em a ring tomorrow as a last resort

Well I might as well give it a go as I now have a good eBay with a banned PayPal and a banned eBay with a good PayPal! Better than leaving them to waste.

Just to sell cheap junk with regular withdrawals. Then again I could use that cheap junk to help grow new accounts.

Now I'm seriously considering buying accounts that have the receiving limits removed. I hate the idea of building up a great account only to lose it to this.

Do these purchased accounts keep growing like my own?

Rang paypal and the guy said he would pass on the docs to get reviewed which would take 48 hours.

Not sure if he saw a note that said they had failed as he seemed to get a lil flustered, or if they genuinely haven't been reviewed and the ban was automatic for going over the limit.

Not getting hopes up but certainly worth a call.

good work keep us updated. also I made recent post, although mine are u.s. acct, about how I attempted to keep using an eby acct with NEW pp acct after the original pp acct was banned. AND it didn't go so well. Really seems like a waste of time as the link there seems to be STRONG...

OP it won't work with a different Paypal, you'll be screwed. Been there done that, the ONLY way I was able to get it working (Same situation) was a get a merchant account. With national bank card or whomever
