How I built my eBay account with a selling limit of 73500/$1,400,000.00 l

I have been a member of this forum for quite a while. I feel like I always took something from it but actually never gave anything in.

Today, I am hopefully going to change that. Right now, I have nearly 12 active accounts , some I made myself but most of I purchased from here.

My strongest account is one of my earliest stealth. I was always aware of the fact that i should not risk my stealth accounts by calling in eBay for limit increases as they might ask some public data base questions.

On the other hand, I did not want to leave my business's future on hope and hopefully get a random huge limit increase one day ( well thats what happened in the end anyway).

On one of my earlier accounts, I used my actual legal name. ( getting rid of my first name and simply used my Middle and Last name)

Of course, I used a brand new address, phone number and ip. I never lived in the address used so I KNEW IF I CALLED EBAY AND THEY ASKED ME SECURITY QUESTIONS, I WOULD FAIL AND WOULD NEED TO SEND IN DOCUMENTS. Fortunately, that's exactly what I wanted.

I listed bunch of text books that I actually purchased from Amazon while I was still in college. I knew for a fact that, there is a category limit of 5 books for new accounts.

I called in and ask for an increase, at first they took away the category limit without pulling up any database questions but I ASKED THEM I ACTUALLY NEEDED THE QUANTITY AND DOLLAR LIMIT INCREASED as I had tons of textbooks that I wanted to sell.

The rep that told me they needed to confirm my identity and pulled out data base questions. All the questions were about my actual information so I knew if I answered the correct answer they would link me. Basically, I answered "none of the above" them for all the answers.

Of course, they couldn't verify my information and asked for ID and Invoices. Everything was going just like i wanted to. I provided the invoices from AMAZON.

I did not want to give my drivers licence as it could be easily looked up by the number so I took advantage of being an immigrant, and I GAVE THEM MY FEDERAL EAD card ( EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION document).

Couple of days later, eBay thanked me for making their marketplace secure and gave me a decent increase. After this point, I was not scared to call them in as I previously verified my identity. I called in 2-3 times for limit increase and eventually got 2 nice huge automatic limit increases and now this account has a selling limit of 73500/$1,400,000.00

I hope this information helps to at least some people. I tried to make it as readable as possible.

PS
IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED BY THE EXPERTS OF THIS FORUM TO CALL EBAY. DO ANYTHING AT YOUR OWN RISK BUT I BELIEVE STEALTH IS ALL ABOUT SELF IMPLEMENTATION.

Congrats on such a huge increase. For now, I easily got 2000 / 35k GBP limits, but actually hasn't tried to get bigger ones, as I just don't need them.

It is for non residents and green card holders. Pretty much if you are a citizien you dont need an ead card.

But there are still other ways to be creative with ID. Passport might be one of them.

I called eBay for a limit increase on a 10/1000 and had no issues, and got bumped up to 25/5000. I was not asked for questions! The account was about 5 months old and I sold my limits every month. Just lost that account, however it was due to VERO.

The only useful tip for 95% of US eBay members is that you can use receipts from Amazon as invoices.

Most people don't have EAD cards, unfortunately. You can send in doctored ID, though, and that can work.

If you speak to the rep correctly, you'll never get the questions in the first place. Of course, without verifying your ID, you won't be getting ridiculous limits of 1 million+ USD, but you should never run that much volume on a single account in the first place. Risk needs to be diversified.

I'm glad you were successful, but if you read up on the thread below, you'll learn a lot of tips and tricks to repeat this without all the hassle.

So the OP just comes onto the forum to write a long piece with detailed information on how they got the limits for it not to happen. Yes there a lot of people that troll but there's a high chance it did happen based on the info.

Grow up.

I'm glad someone finally called Pizza out.

He is a troll. Every comment I read is some form of "LOOOOL" or "Yeah whatever" or some non-sense.

Anyways....

You are right about the EAD cards. But again, I think there are still other options.

I had followed that thread myself and did find it very helpful. Thank you

The trick in stealth is do as if you would if not stealth.

The accounts that get ID verification early last longer. I have similar limits.

ID verification CAN work, and does build long-lasting accounts.

It depends on how comfortable/creative you are. ID verification is an "extra" step that goes the extra mile. There are additional benefits, but also risks. Especially if the ID is not legitimate.

This is exactly what I think. Most of my stealth accounts do get nice limit increases too but nothing near to this one.

It's worth it, IMO, if you're selling riskier items, or if you really want a particular account to be secure. But most people don't have access to "real" ID's that would pass eBays checks (since they would be linked to the old account) so it's not really recommended unless you know what you're doing.

Just a heads up, using YOUR OWN info tO pass database questions does not link you, at least not in my limited 18 months experience with a few hundred accounts.
ALL of my new accounts and ALL of my big EIN accounts have passed database questions by using my info.

I always say, I just moved two weeks ago. They ask what was my previous address and I tell them and of course I pass.

Let me make sure I understand...

You're saying you call eBay with your stealth accounts, stealth details...

They look you up in the database, no info (because the info is f#ke)

Then you say "my previous address is xyz" (your REAL address).

They pull up verification questions, based on your REAL info, i.e. you, and then you "pass" and they consider your account ID verified?

If I'm understanding this correctly, this is a HUGE security flaw, but an awesome one.

Please confirm if the above is correct or if I misunderstood.
