At&t small range of IPs? Using Iphone tethering vs Jetpack
 

Just canceled my Verizon Jetpack service I was paying $80 a month for in favor of using my IPhone since it allows tethering. Only cost $20 extra for a 10GB upgrade on my plan. Much faster to get a new IP (put in airplane mode).

So far I am seeing IP address very close to the same with only last 2 digits being different. I am wondering does AT&T not have a wider range of IPs? Now Im worried I made a mistake in canceling the Jetpack.

I have never had an issue with AT&T's range of IP's if you are running on LTE just making Excel sheet with all the IP address and log them.

I'm getting a verizon jet pack my self, at&t doesn't have a large pool. Yesterday i had to restart my at&t device literally 12 times to get a ip is hadn't used on another account. Ive been tracking my ips since may & i get a lot of repeats. I'm probably going to keep both devices (at&t & Verizon ).

I notice with att iPhone. The ip keeps changing while in session. Pay attention to that.

keep 2 devices hooked into it... solves issue for me

Same here MM. That's what I do. LTE is faster but not the ip pool.

Never noticed it change. I always refresh my ipburger site while in session to make sure.

Probably a good idea! I worry about the speed though?

Do you know where the best deal is on these and monthly cost estimate? I use around 5-10GB a month on avg

ATT ip pool is much dependent on your location. For me it is great. I can keep the same IP for more than a day while driving all over town and that is useful to me personally.
