Getting around Paypal SSN During Registration/Signup
 

I am trying to setup several Paypal accounts that have my real name but obviously different IP's, addresses, etc.

I heard from someone that you don't want to give a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ SSN even if you plan on giving them a legitimate Tax ID later on. I used to create accounts with phony SSN's and phony names- but because of the low cost, high volume business I need to do- I can't run a traditional stealth account.

So I need these accounts to be in my real name but I obviously CAN'T give them my real SSN b/c A) I was banned from PP back in 2005 and B) That would link all the accounts lol.

Somehow I got around this on one of the Paypal accounts I registered this morning. But I can't seem to replicate what I did (I don't exactly remember. Just know that I didn't submit any SSN)

I also need to note that as of right now I don't have a EIN for any of these accounts. I haven't decided which route to go to obtain EIN's- I may file my accounts as separate LLC's.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

you shouldn't be running into any instance where its requiring it…

it may ASK in the form of offering you a paypal credit card, but it shouldn't prompt

Just dont fill it out. Nothing more than that.

For business accounts it asks for it before it will let you go to the summary page. Theres not an option to get around it. You're thinking of a personal account.

It even asks for it when you upgrade a personal to a business. Its not as simple as just not filling it out- what do you press/click to to go around it?

Ok- well whatever you want to call it. I have accounts using my real name that have been active for years and doesn't get linked. I keep things in my real name for LLC/tax purposes. Doesn't matter to me what it's called as long as I get paid lol

I tried that to see if I could before I posted here. I run into the same problem. A screen pops up that says they need DOB and SSN # b/c of the Patriot Act lol.

Somehow, I got around this earlier by just starting a straight-up business account. No personal then upgrade. I just don't know how I did it.

I made a pile of accounts last week and did not have this or just leave it blank when ASKED.

Because my SSN is banned and I plan on filing these separate accounts as LLC's because I am intending on going over the threshold of 200/20k on all my accounts.

My business is a low-cost/high volume business but crazy profitable. This is the only way I know of running it- I save a crazy amount on eBay listing fees. In fact, even if my info wasn't blacklisted I would still operate this way because of the ungodly amount of money I save in listing fees.

You made these as personal and then upgraded to business? How long did you wait to upgrade?

When the screen pops up you say you leave them blank- For me though there seems to be no way around it. Everytime I login it pops up- and when I click the bottom link to go to "contact us" or to "help" to get away from it- It will let me go to the summary page and what not but it won't let me go to my profile section to confirm the e-mail or anything like that.

I only upgrade once I get the tax request at 15-19K or when dealing with volume 170+ items. This way I dont waste any EIN and a lot of times I dump the account anyways.

For me, it's asking for it at registration of a business account- whether that be a business account from scratch or a personal account being upgraded to a business. I should note that these are BRAND NEW accounts and have no sales history or anything.

ALL business accounts are going to be asked. It has been this way for at least a year now.

STOP MAKING BUSINESS ACCOUNTS!

There is really no financial advantage of business vs. personal accounts on PayPal.

Quit being hard-headed.

Agree, anything to make your life harder with paypal is silly.
