Suntrust vba accidental withdrawal

I purchased a vba from a seller in the forum
Long story short accidentally withdrew money into it. It's been over 21 days. Seller claims he can't access it anymore
The money never came back. Is it just sitting there

I'm not sure how vbas work. But is there anyway I could get that money back?

To my understanding, VBA can not be used to withdraw too. Maybe the best thing to do is call paypal and ask them if the money is on hold or something. DOnt be afraid to call them, I call them when I have certain issues. I use google voice to call them.

Call PayPal and ask about the status of your moneys. Use something like SkypeOut for the call.

I posted a way to fix this only when it says pending. But if it's gone and didn't come back may be gone for good. How many days has it been. I've seen it take 10 days to bounce back.

That money is somewhere.. if it's pending then you can call PayPal and have it returned. Once it's settled though, it's in that VBA.

Re: Suntrust vba accidental withdrawal

I hate when that happens! Glad to see someone else do it and it's not just me that was too quick to look where my money was going. The one time it was for $800, I realized what I did right away and was afraid to rock the boat, the VBA seller said he didn't see anything, and maybe he didn't, but I just assumed he was going to see how it all panned out before he was going to give up the funds. It took a WEEK before the money came back, I remember because I was SURE the VBA guy withdrew it by the time I saw it again. The second time was $250 to a different VBA guy, and he said that he didn't have access to the account anymore (I bet they close them up right away, and sometimes maybe forget or something) anyway I never saw the money come back (so I'm sure it cleared into his bank, or they moved the incoming to an accive account of his, or maybe the deposit reopened the account the same way an ACH can reopen a closed account. Anyway, to keep things friendly with him and to at least get something out of it, I told him it was a $250 deposit (like he didn't know) and asked for 8 VBA's in trade for the funds if/when they ever cleared. That way I got at least something out of it, and it wasn't a total loss. I never heard back from PP about it, so I'm sure it cleared into his bank somehow. I suggest (if it wasn't an un-absorbable amount) you just ask the VBA guy for a small bundle of new VBA's instead. But a week or week and a half until it came back is what it took for my first time, so don't write it off too quickly.

Re: Suntrust vba accidental withdrawal

VBAs are used to verify the accounts, the sellers cannot withdraw from them even if you accidentally send funds to it....

It does sometimes get lost in limbo, but if you made the mistake of sending the money to the VBA, I would talk to the VBA seller before accusing him/her of stealing

As long as the VBA is closed...the money will be returned to PP. If not, money will likely sit there available to whoever has access...

Yea I context led him several times about it, he claims it was closed and he has no access to it anymore)m( was an instant verify, I tried logging in with the pass and Id and nothin) I'm sure he has it tho. It's been a long time now well over 20 days and still nothing

On PayPal end its cleared
Yet the seller claims that he can't access the account anymore. Must be sitting in the "cloud" or something

I would tend to believe the seller as I have tried to obtain micro deposits from accounts only a few days old and they are already closed.

Arent these INSTANT vba, called checking accounts?

If an account is closed or blocked the withdrawal is reversed immediately when paypal tries to put it in your bank. (especially with 2hr withdrawals)
72 hour withdrawals only actually get processed on the 72 hour so you would only notice it then.
