Amazon vs. eBay Sales

For those of you who sell on both Amazon and eBay, which platform has the highest sells rate? I am thinking about trying out Amazon along with eBay. I guess it couldn't hurt.

I just have no idea how to go stealth on Amazon. I will have to do some research.

It will vary by the type of item and your competition (among other factors).

Best to sell on ALL the available markets!

Some things sell better on eBay. Some sell better on Amazon. Generally speaking, Amazon is usually more profitable. That is not true of ALL items, but it is true of MOST items.

The biggest difference between selling on eBay versus selling on Amazon is the customer service. To be successful on Amazon, you have to be at the top of your game customer service wise. You cannot ignore customer inquiries, no matter how idiotic they seem. And you must NEVER be rude to an Amazon customer.

Ok so overall is the process of creating Amazon Stealth accounts pretty similar to eBay accounts? What's the major difference? I guess I need to invest in Amazon Ghost

I'm guessing Amazon has their own verification processes.

I'm thinking I'll have to invest in another laptop as well if I need separate user names for Amazon accounts.

I sold on eBay only for about 5 years and just started up Amazon 3 months ago. My overall sales have increased over 500% with Amazon. At least for the products I'm selling... Amazon is 4-5x better than eBay and sooooo much easier.

No need to buy AG, it's way outdated anyway.

If you can do stealth on eBay, you can do it on Amazon. Biggest difficulty is the credit card, which you can simply use your own real card with a phake name.

Amazon sales are better AND more profitable for me, on 90% of my items.

Things that sell on better on eBay have been, in my experience, ONLY things that are NOT listed in Amazons HUGE catalog.

amazon is easier than ebay by leaps and bounds in my option.
In my market, amazon sucks. Less than 1/1000 of ebay. But my other not so nitch items, amazon is better and less work without the paypal imitations.

Amazon needs real credit cards as a general rule and you need tax info by 50 sales. Other than that, you have to bend over backwards for buyers no matter what.

as far as opening accounts, same basic procedure as ebay. Other linking occurs by items listed and must be taken into consideration for multiple accounts.

Re: Amazon vs. eBay Sales

Amazon has lots of traffic and you can usually get a higher price on many items. As mentioned you have to bend over backwards for customers but overall they are less needy. Few message you 50 times about a shipping address or a low ball offer, etc. So that is nice. You have to be on your game for sending items on time and answer every customer.

The negatives about Amazon is a few customer complaints can ruin you. If you have any item that a buyer even mentions the counterfeit or phake word even if it is unbranded or whatever you will be blocked from selling those items. Running lots of stealth accounts can be challenging because of the Credit Card issue and the Tax ID issue after 50 sales.

I sell the same stuff on Ebay as Amazon for years.
I get way higher prices at Amazon and volume is enormous.
Plus I hired people to list for me. No problems with other sellers
or some ebay monkey flagging my legit items.

This is so very true! Very frustrating when you get flagged for phakes and they are real... Some items you just cant sell no matter what!

I tried selling on Amazon years ago and I think I got suspended in like a week or so. I can't remember the reason.

Amazon is 97% of my business. Never slow for me

Re: Amazon vs. eBay Sales

Solely depends on the products IMHO.

I prefer Amazon because of the expected delivery date is longer, you get 7 days on Amazon UK, whereas eBay are always over optimistic on delivery times to the least no matter what posting method you list with!
