Default Just managed to change primary email address on PayPal successfully!

I needed to reset my password on small PayPal account, but couldn't access the gmail account that they sent the reset password code to, it was the original gmail that came with the eBay/PayPal account when bought it and haven't used it for so long don't have its password any longer. Contacted them by chat to say I couldn't get into the PayPal so they emailed me to ring in so did this morning.

Was surprised how easy and stressfree that turned out to be, started to ask me couple security questions that I couldn't really answer, so they said they would try changing the primary email address on the account and because I could give them the original phone number on the account and registered address on the account plus last four numbers of bank account on it, they did change the email address for me and then sent the PayPal password reset code to that email address. Have just got into and YAY I'm good to go.

Cheers ilCarletto, yes feeling pretty chuffed about that one myself, first time have phoned PayPal so didn't really have any idea what to expect, but in the event it went ridiculously easily.

My only issue now is having got limits up to 40/2000, am all but up to the item limit but no where near the sales limit and on clicking on request higher limits only option seems to be to move over to a business account.

Jesus....this is the problem with misinformation. You have people who are deathly afraid of calling eBay/PayPal even when they NEED too.

It reminds me of people who are afraid of going to the Doctor or Dentist....they are paranoid that they will get poisoned, or their kidney stolen, or whatever, so they never go, and eventually the problem they are experiencing gets worse because the don't go to the people that can help fix it....

Let this be a lesson to EVERYONE: Customer Service reps exist for just that purpose....Customer SERVICE. Their JOB is to help you, to be nice, and to solve your problem. If they aren't doing that, once their employer figures it out, they are FIRED!
