Good or Bad Proxies
 

How do I know if my private proxies are bad or good?

Also, do new paypal accounts have IPN when a buyers makes purchases? IPN = Instant Payment Notification.

I get it when someone makes a purchase from paypal not ebay. Does new account do this?

Private proxies are generally not good for stealth. SOME are *IF* you know what you are doing, but if you don't understand how they work, it could be a real problem. It is not like a VPN with a 1 click connection.

Avoid proxies too many things can go wrong and there often extremely abused and the same ips reissued countless times. Go with a VPN or VPS.

IF a proxy is truly "Private" or "dedicated" and used properly, it SHOULD serve the same function as a VPN.

Problem is, proxies are often issued to multiple people....also, a lot more complicated than VPN, as Jeff mentioned.

Unless you really know what you're doing, I'd stick with VPN. Easier to deal with.

To answer your question, the only way to know if your proxies are good is to test them....open accounts. I'd open Amazon accounts first, easier to create and a LOT more strict. If your Amazon accounts survive, chances are eBays will be fine.

I like proxies IF the account was originally setup with one. Very affordable and really not that hard to use. A quick google or youtube search can teach you how to setup correctly and safely in a few minutes. Firefox also has some extra security features you can use with a quick add on.

The quality of the proxie is very similar to the quality of the VPN you use. Price is not always a direct reflection but more of how used and abused the source may be. Also, a lot of quality proxies have an expiration date. Make sure you are getting a service that can be extended without changing IP every time.

Like GhostOfAmazon said above, test them on an amazon account first. Should not take more than 30 minutes and for sure you will know if a problem is going to occur within seven days. Most likely within an hour.

VPN is a great option also. I use VPN and proxies daily. VPS is much trickier for me personally and very slow.
