Paypal now throwing additional 60 days onto 21 day hold...?
 

Has anyone else seen this? Even after being a member and using PP for Eb stuff for about 4 months consistently, and funds beginning to be available immediately after an item is purchased, one of my accounts gets the 21 day hold put BACK ON and they say it's because of a bump in selling volume, which there was barely any difference, and everything has always been in good standing. Has anyone else experienced this recently? I've only ever seen in in the last week, and my PP account has a charge on it showing the 10 things as checked off, the $500 recieved as checked off, and a chart showing that one day of 60 days has passed. Any suggestion why this might have been triggered? Or how it might end early? As far as I know, this is brand new.

21 day holds can always be put back on.

Why PayPal does it is only know to PayPal most the time

They will generally in time drop off again

close to the holidays plus the influx of money usually will retrigger it, even without issues on the account(s)

Any benefit of calling in and asking for it to be removed, as I just went through it and have a flawless selling record? Any chance it might drop off again before the 60 days...? Thanks!

None.
Paypal can do what they want whenever they want and you agreed to it when you signed up. Calling could attract unnecessary attention to your account at this stage. Not worth it.
And yes theres always the chance of it going away again but dont hold your breath.

I just got this on one account. I made my first three sales on in September. I havent used it in a month or more. I just got email stating I have to complete 10 sales and be a member in good standings for 60 days. It basically reset it self and I havent used it in awhile. Of course I emailed them and they tell me the same robotic answer they give everyone.

Usually that happens if you sell, and then make a pause for a couple of weeks OR your volumes change rapidly.

Yeah my bet would be due to the holiday season, I had it happen to one account there always much stricter around this time

I thought it was just me.... so is it possible that they add the 21 days (or longer) hold/payment delay around this time of year for no other reason than the time of year? Would it be a good/safe idea to wait until after January 1 to list heavy again (assuming my sales are not holidays-dependent)...?

Why miss out on the sale potential?

Just list and ship as usual, this way the holds will be taken off quicker.
