Amazon competitor playing dirty?

I created my own listing and sent in stock to FBA with a price of $13.99

I sold a good bit and a few days later a competitor jumps on my listing for $14.95

All of a sudden ALL of my available stock goes into the "reserved" category and then the listing rank continues to go up (assuming that the sales are going to the competitor because my listing says that I'm back-ordered.. an FBA shipment is in route)

Is this my competitor making all of my items reserved? Is that even a possibility? If so, what can I do to stop it.... or does anyone have any ideas on how I can "get him back"?

Kinda bull**** if you ask me

Now I'm not even coming up as a seller on MY own listing that's only been live for a week at most... what the hell is happening here

sincerely.. an Amazon noob that doesn't know the tricks yet

thats just amazon moving your items from one warehouse to another, or thats usually the case. Just make sure you never run low on inventory and this won't happen

Hmm.. makes sense. I guess I was overthinking it.

I'm new to the whole concept of someone getting onto your listing. I don't like it lol

u can always play the scare game if its your listing, the good thing here is its not some lowball seller. So you two can sell side by side without issue it would seem.

If the item in question is uniquely yours, then you can try sending a message to the other seller(s) asking them to stop. And then you can report them to Amazon if they don't. But you had also better be squeaky clean if you do that, because Amazon will most likely take a look at both accounts.

Re: Amazon competitor playing dirty?

It's a bundled item and it's not produced by me.

I was thinking about adding an item that I create to the bundle "as a free gift" so other sellers can't join in... because they wouldn't have the free gift that is advertised.

I am not going to message the seller as he has thousands of feedback and I have 15. He'd just laugh at me probably! Lol
