Listing in non related categories?

Wondering what does this accomplish. I've seen this in all categories with different items and i'm a little confused. Anyway, lets say someone is selling a vero item. For example an electronic item such as a phone. That item is first listed in the category which it has nothing to do like home and garden. Then second category added is the correct category which is Cell Phones & Accessories>Cell Phones & Smartphones.

Not often but i come across this sometimes from all kinds of sellers. Just wondering what this accomplishes. Anyone know?

They think it will bring less attention to their account

Its also a way to get around category limits

It's a sure fire way to get your account canned when found out though, try it if you dare :peace:

Yeah, they chance getting suspended when the bots pick this up.

Then they join here and blame nasty ebay for all their woes.

There are some category limits that are atrocious and not realistic in any way. And there's no way to circumvent them while using eb's "rules"
