How much should I sell with a new stealth account?
 

Just curious how much volume you guys start out with when you open a new stealth account on ebay?
I will buy an account with $25k in limits from stealthshop.com

I was previously turning over roughly 50k with my previous account.

Your gonna want to go sllooowwww. If you try to push a lot of quantity and $$$$$ your gonna get limited faster than you think. Also, there's a 200/$20,000 limit you need to deal with eventually.

I start out slow and take time to nuture the account.

Keep in mind you should try to stay under the radar as the account ages.

The other issue is paypal has tax requirements that need attention.

The stated limit is 200 items/$20,000. paypal puts requests for tax info on projected info which is often much less.

Make sure to talk to your seller too.

instead of buying a 25k personally i would just buy a couple 10/1000 it aint like u can list up to 25k anytime soon

Stealth is a very unforgiving game if you try to rush through everything =/

If it was my first time around, I would buy small limit accounts (or better yet, try to create a few myself) and learn how to manage at least 2 simultaneously... learn the tools you need, think about how you'll tackle common issues, create a plan of action... all without getting linked.

You're going to have to accept that you have to start slowly with stealth, otherwise you're just going to cause more headache for yourself.

But take comfort that you can get back to big sales, big store, but that's a goal you have to set for 6-12 months down the line.

I would imagine I can build up to 25k monthly within a 4-5 months?

Can't say it's impossible, but extremely risky... especially given what you sale (VERY policed category and brands.)

I'd personally follow a growth plan of around 1k increase per month, not much higher than that.

A sad truth is, from what I understand about vero and other threads on this forum... given what you sell (apple/samsung), you're in for a VERY slow crawl back up to this number.

I am not selling brand new, so there is no risk of getting flagged by VERO's..

VERO doesn't just flag new, they can flag your items that are used as well....your expectations are also very high as far as how much you want to sell.

As far as the 200/$20,000 limit is concerned....once EBay projects that will sell 200/$20,000 before December....they are going to request specific things from you....with stealth, your gonna have to learn how to supply these things.

Things are not like when you joined, a lot has changed!

Take a deep breath and look over much more of the forum.

A slow method is needed. No new account will take selling Apple/samsung without due care.

VERO can flag for used.

We can't give you clear cut answers to everything, you really have to get your hands dirty and experience selling on stealth... not to mention eb is not a one fits all type of deal, what works for some may not work for others, some get lucky/some don't. There's a huge amount of resources and scenarios discussed on this very forum, if you really wanna get back into the game I'd suggest to start putting in the work.

This forum is invaluable for marketplace sellers... don't create a bad rep for yourself by asking questions first before doing any research on your own.

on an altogether different note, paypal is going to limit your account 8-12K in total sales, request photo ID and Invoices if you collect it in the first couple months sales. I would also guess SS as well in your categories.

Those items are going to require slow and WIDE across many accounts.

as for the IRS law about 200 transactions and 20K. Cheap items will get limited around 120-170 items. Expensive non risky items(not yours) will be 15-17K normally. If you sell really fast(Your items will not allow this without supplying a lot of docs if at all) you can break one of those thresholds but never both.

It's pretty clear in the Paypal terms and conditions - also keep in mind that PP can limit based on PROJECTED sales rate.

I had an old pair of Bose Headphones that I was selling for $100.00
an item I category I never listed in either.
I got a Vero violation - in nearly 100% of the time it's competitors reporting VERO violations.
Selling on eBay is pure cut throat.

There really is no "set way" I started my own stealth account and started with 2 $10.00 TShirts . Then my 3rd item was some New Apple Airpods @ $250.00 I sold 3 sets of those then moved on to some other electronics and sold $1K ( my limit in my first month)
Then after my second month anniversary I called in got it raised to $5K and sold $4K
Not even into my second month being done eBay auto-bumped my account to 1000/$15K - no phone call.
I have been selling a mix of items on this account and it's not even 90 days and all my Paypal limits are gone.
200/$20,000 limit? - start a new Paypal Account.
My original 5000/$25K account that is a moth older still has it's PP limits but I have only sold $2k (Total almost 90 days old) on that account - using the going slow approach

how many items if they are priced 5 to 20$? i feel like i could post more then 1 item that cost 20$. Its super low risk. No brand and not electronics.

Not sure but it sounds like his did. Its super rare,some accounts get a instant no hold.
