eBay Suspended & PayPal Limited Forums - bank account just locked

Yea didn't even know she was going to open an account and low and behold We used "our Email address " she heard me cussing about the bank then told me she tried to open a account last nite and it rejected her . I knew rite then it wasn't me but she's not a stealther and thinks I should get a haircut and real job ;) gotta luv her

got a letter saying account was closed and check would be mailed in 10 days for remaining balance . it has been weeks so i called today now fraud dept wants me to call them the lady at the local branch said she cant close an account when its being reviewed for fraud .. So when i call them and asked about mismatched depo's name what is a good answwer?"

tell them you consult ebay businesses and take your income through deposits from their paypal. confidently and aggressively assure that there will be zero chargebacks or complications. they are likely watching, waiting for a report to come through that would possibly reverse a deposit

I did and they said since the incomming funds are not mine i would have to have the ppl come in and a claim their money . i told her this is my money and the people are from all over the us and ther is no banks in california she just said we cant release the funds to me jsut have to contact the people that sent the money . .so i guess i am just getting robbed ?? I have been on here for years heard of many ppl getting their banks closed but everyone got their money in 10 days so i am the only one t oget ripped off by the bank

Pretty childish not to share a bad bank. Makes no sense to me or any other member on this forum.

If it is a bad bank for stealth, why not pull your head from your ass and share it to save others problems?

You ask for A LOT of help from the forum, maybe start being a contributing member yourself.

File a complaint with the CFPB - Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I've used them with complaints to AccountNow, US Bank, and a bunch of other banks. You'll definitely get a check in 30 days plus some excuse letter.

do that or an attorney. theres no magic spell wordage that will instantly gain you access to your money. the bank is playing games, so you will have to play along.

get a different bank in the meantime and don't let this stop all productivity

they reversed a 650 payment made while back to get out all but 36 dollars they r still keepin

One other question. How long did it take for them to reverse? Was it just one transactional payment, or everything that was sitting in the account?

Regarding CFPB, i filed my complaint over a month ago --- still under review :(

I would not have said consulting, I would have said it was a DBA name.
a quick dba registration could have been a solution.
not so much to get the money back but to halt the much more scary fraud investigations...

I been using BOA for 3 years with no issues, but i have them attached to a business paypal account, so the deposits come in a business name not a personal name.

I think because the deposits are coming in as a business name it never raised flags, and never was asked to open a business bank account either. Each account receives 5K-10 a month , never an issue

I think this is best answer here so far - you can use the "excuse" that I get deposits from "John Smith" he is a customer....
